Don't you love these films where the "high school kids" are played by actors aged somewhere between 25-40? Note also that, even though the description says they're high school kids, "Frank" says he was in the Army previously. On the plus side, very cool to have a score by Shelly Manne - and even a quick reference to Gerry Mulligan!

When WW2 broke out a lot of 17 yr olds quit high school, joined up and the the ones that came home, many went back to high school. Some of the roughest high school football teams were from that era.

Now you know how the movie ''Grease'' got the ''T-Bird Gang'' in their script.....the 1940's and 1950's seems to be the trend setter.

After seeing his name on the screen Edwin Nelson changes it to Ed Nelson for the rest of his career. I notice Vic Taybback is in the movie, Another change or misspelling of his name since it was Tayback for the rest of his career.

Mark, I definitely agree with you about Roger Corman -- who, according to Wikipedia.org., turned 94 years-old, on April 5th, and is still active; although not necessarily as a director and/or producer. But, f. y. i.: T-BIRD GANG, which was released in October, 1959 -- same month and year as A BUCKET OF BLOOD, and starred two of the same cast members, Ed Nelson & John Brinkley; with Brinkley being T-BIRD GANG's co-scriptwriter -- was not one of Roger Corman's credits. It was directed by a guy by the name of Richard Harbinger, and it was produced by someone named Stanley Bickman.

Actually, I think this thing is pretty good -- being a slice of say, the uglier side of Fifties life not often spoken-of? (I oughta know, I was there, and did it -- the prettier side, of course!) Even tho 'offensive' we hereby withdraw our earlier request for forthwith removal because it is . . . ENTERTAINING . . . so we're cool, man!

Big mistake! Corman got very uncool Blackboard Jungle juvenile delinquents confused with the BEATS. And making it all worse, all of YOU get BEATS confused with Beatniks!!! And too and worse-even, with the separate but very real Gay Beats! (Tho that term was not yet of course, introduced into the common parlance.) We find this offensive to-the-max, and request that this little mistaken libel done on us, BE REMOVED FORTHWITH, for the offense of being offensive!

Well this is not a good movie, and not successfull because very poor datas / infos on it. The twos actress are not very popular too, because they have a very small career in movie industry. Not a lot about her because they made only 2-3 films each (small role). I don't find this film very good or interesting, and the spectators in movie theatre too when it came out because, this film is really like "unknow" or "have very low infos". A film to pass and not to remember. You can forget it about.
