In the time of "CORONAVIRUS WORLD WAR - 3" in 2020 when your own life is at the hands of a invisible pandemic it's cinema that breaks all barriers and provides solace and entertainment. As a lifelong fan of "SHERLOCK HOLMES" having even visited the "Sherlock Holmes" museum at Baker Street in London it's a pleasure watching the films made in 1955.. Something different watching this film in original black & white as also getting a peep into 1950's shipping lifestyle.Excellent film as are all Arthur Conan Doyle novels made into films. As a "Marine Engineer" seafarer of the 1980's-2006 generation myself could identify with this film although the Boa constrictor was a surprise as the assassin. That's typical Sherlock Holmes mystery that has endured through different generations and changes in human technology. Ahoy !
