According to a rumor for the Japanese commenters, who might be wondering why this is famous in the Philippines. It's because during the 90s, the PH promotional materials/commercials for Ranma 1/2 or らんま 1/2 has this background soundtrack. In fact, most radio stations in the Philippines loved the background soundtrack so much. They aired this every week throughout the 90's. Making "Pizzicato Five - Sweet Soul Revue" a hit in Manila. 🤣🇵🇭🇯🇵

I think this was way already famous in PH before it was even used in Ranma promos. Used for Ranma late 90s but this has been blasted in PH airawaves in 95/96?

@@ralphlesterfabillar5635 i dont think so,as long its a jolly song,no matter language it is,filipinoes will catch up with that, even indian song is popularin philippines...FYI,this song together with FEELS LIKE DANCE byGlobe is really a damn popularin philippinesin the 90's...BATANG90' is born in late 70's and early or mid 80's and teen in 90's,not born in 90's....
Man this song takes me back to the simpler times in the philippines where no cellphones, internet, tiktok, mobile legends, or social media to distract you and take away all your attention. Just hearing this song playing over the radio back in the early 90s already feels like enough to brighten and complete your day.

I was obsessed with this song in the 90s living in Manila. Left the Philippines and came back 20 years later. Heard this on a freaking plane of all places while we were boarding and putting up luggages. Nearly lost it as I automatically recognized the song and the nostalgia came rushing back. Thank you Cebu Pacific for playing music while boarding happens on a flight!
I was searching for this song since it played on the radio (probably a year ago) when we were on our way home. My mom was singing along with it and I was amazed how she almost memorized the lyrics. Didn't regret finding this gem.
After 30 years. I Finally found you❤ kaway kaway mga batang90s

If 4G, broadband internet, smartphones and KZbin were made available in 1996, Pizzicato Five and this song would be hugely popular all over the world.
