The feedback from people who went to the recording in progress made me a little worried that this new album would sound too similar to LES, but the songs I've heard so far are fantastic. Don't get me wrong, LES is a work of art, but I enjoy that she doesn't like to repeat herself.

When in 1992, had to look it up mind, she played the Buckley Tiv, she was good. Provincial Wales was all a gog ( I didn't go, although a mate did and she was kind enough to sign an autograph.), Sheela Na Gig was a cracking single and arguably remains the best (only? ) good thing she ever did. Mind you, everything else has been criminally dull. Dull as ditchwater, dull as shit. I would rather go deaf than listen to her. When asked by the NME (laughable in itself) Glam Rock - Laughable or seminal? Rickey Edwards replied: Hanoi Rocks gave us Guns N'Roses. The Byrds gave us critically acclaimed lumps of static shit. T. Rex = Hanoi Rocks = Guns N' Roses = Glamour/Seminal. The Byrds = Velvet Underground = Orange Juice = Primal Scream = laughable. It is an eternal wonder why PJ HArvey is here or why she bothers. Her music is fucking awful - it commits the same sin as a horror film that is not scary. Still would , though.
