Good video I will try this out next time I'm on the River Forth up here in Scotland it looks similar to the water you're fishing here, just need to find the correct float and I'm sorted. thanks for posting the video.

Hi Paul, Have you ever tried fishing roe balls using a similar set up? Works very well for all Pacific salmon. No reason why it wouldn't work for Atlantics??

Could make it easier by tying an egg loop putting the hook through the front part of the shrimp and putting the loop around the tail to tighten it out. floats same whay

I thought freshly caught prawns were a kind of grey transparent colour. This one has a pink cooked look about it.

They are usually died purple and red

@@noelfleming3567 Looking back I was probably puzzled that salmon wouldn't be put off by cooked prawns in the wild. But, sure, since salmon returning from the sea aren't big eaters in the first place...

I have fished prawns for yrs we get them along d coast and cook them in purple or red dye for a few min boil some in clean water they turn pink dry them out in d air usually on newspaper them salt them or keep them glycerin them last a long time
