Imo good changes, I've already set up scroll speed to 11.33 and offset will help since I play on with speakers and a Bluetooth headset too.

I have never been able to play with my bluetooth headphones what's ur offset?? and even if i match it the note sound is off

@@nelzyr So I've just set it up. It's -1.64 for my Bluetooth 5.2 headphone (Audeze maxwell) and 3.91 using my phone's speakers. When you set it up try to get it as close to 0.0 when you tap but it's not (really) possible so in my case I try to tap so I get at most +0.5/-0.5 in offset, hope it helps

@@nelzyr The note sound effect will always be off when you have a delay- you just have to turn hit sounds off, or at least really low Since you’re hitting the note technically “late” with a delay, and the hit sound will always hit AFTER you click (and not preemptively to match the song timing) it will always have that delay- What you should try and focus on is making the CHART match the SONG, not the hit sounds matching the song

wait now that I know what that lane adjustment thing is for, I might actually use it sometimes. whenever I play when on my bed when it's daytime, there's a glare at the top of my screen that makes the notes hard to read, so now i can lower the top of the notes. thanks for explaining it :)

i wanted to make a video about this new change too actually, because not that many people were talking about how useful it can be. you explained this so much better than i ever could! i didn't know that people would use this feature to combat certain conditions (like you mentioned, light glare or notifications). great video! before, i actually used to strap a headband to my ipad. i got too lazy to put it on every single time i wanted to play so i just stopped doing it lol. this is actually such a game changer now that it's in the game.

Honestly these changes are very good. Like I’ve already gone from 10.8 to 10.85 because I was hitting too many early’s. I’ve barely touched the lane covers and precise offset (tho idk how to set offset properly anyways). Idk I’m too used to reading all the way at the top in project sekai, but it’s certainly gonna be helpful to some players.

I’m so glad that they are helping with the speed, I always have been a hard mode player. I’ve recently been trying to start playing expert, but I have to change speed all the time and it just makes it harder. Especially when I am accidentally exiting out, getting notifications, or any of those distractions in general.

Now we need lane width adjustment, although not as important as this one, it's still a neat preference for someone who find lowering the start line made it too squishy. Essentially the same as scaling the whole thing down

based update anecdote: I sometimes cover the top part of my tablet with a piece of cloth, cause the lane perspective was messing with my reading. I wasn't really used to it, since the VSRGs I mostly play had flat lanes (that is, the top is the same width as the bottom/note receptors). Glad to see that the devs added a lane cover feature.

I kinda wish changes like these came like this to the other servers sooner. I’m too scared to mess around with them on jp coz I’m afraid I’ll get too comfortable to switch back to en. I can understand certain things like stories and events coming a year later, because duh. But for practical things like this that make the game more accessible, I don’t understand why they make us wait :(

I’m not exactly sure, but could this be helpful for beginners too? Maybe when they’re starting out, it could be difficult for them to focus on what is hitting the judgement line, so they could possibly utilize this tool to reduce clutter.

Depends on the person honestly. I still recommend beginners to just play with default settings and not get too hung up on the details until they get a feel on the game (This goes for any rhythm game) Otherwise you could just be changing stuff for no reason lol

I need to tell you to add tag words to your description because I couldn't find this video again, took me HOURS because it's SO USEFUL!!! But I tried searching in YT like "note speed, note field, japanese project sekai offset, start position" etc. but this video was NEVER showing in the search results. Consider adding any of those important words you mention a lot in the video and writing them down in your description, that will bring it up for people who try to search for these!!!!!

This new feature did help me on playing the one and only song, "Lower one's eyes" anyone who play master will know how bullsh** the note is, and this feature did help me learn the chart so much that now I'm able to FC it.

Hey! I just wanna ask what tablet do you use? Or if anyone here can suggest a specific brand/model for a tablet I'd appreciate it. I've been playing on my phone for a while and living in an environment where the sun is literally our neighbor, I feel like some components of my phone have been fried and no matter what I do I cant get rid of the lag anymore. So I plan on switching to a tablet. Any ideas?

I can only recommend ipad since thats what I use. If you’re looking for older models, the ipad air 5th gen is a good choice. And apple sometimes has good deals on refurbished stuff on their website. I only got the ipad pro for its 120hz display, otherwise id probably get the air
