It doesn't signify the country is in distress, it indicates that whomever is flying the flag is in distress and needs immediate help. It has been used symbolically as a statement of malcontent regarding the country in the past, but the proper response to seeing a building flying an upside down flag is to assume a hostage situation is unfolding inside and that it's a surreptitious and desperate message sent out by those being held--or something to that effect.

Oh Jesus. That’s so dumb. All but a few scraps of notes at the very end were written in fountain pen. Otto Frank was the one that compiled everything after the war, he added two loose notes at the end as well as marking pages to be numbered. I hate when I hear this stupid “theory”.

Taylor’s sheer ignorance and willingness to speak on things he clearly know absolutely nothing about is baffling sometimes. Especially since I mostly like him. If you looking into anything about Koko you would see she 100% learned to communicate. She remembered how her mom died and was able to communicate it. She 100% was able to express herself in albeit limited ways, but she definitely was communicating. Taylor’s a dip sometimes.
