@George Hennen Dunning-Kruger effect. I got a childhood friend who skipped a year in high-school and got hes masters about a year and a half faster than others. Mensa card holder and I think he tested in 150's. It's really obvious when you talk to him that you are living in a different world. He can dumb down what he wants to convey but its still obvious he cannot fully explain himself to us "normies". Other childhood friend of mine had a brain tumor. Doesn't really count in this sense but the life saving surgery on him took a lot of important pieces with it. Same thing with him on the conversations. There is no chance we can have one without him getting confused, no matter the topic.

Just talking to someone for more than a few minutes and you really get a good idea of where they are at intelligence wise. When someone can properly put into words they’re thoughts, or someone who isn’t arrogant, that’s a smart person. Bragging is the biggest sign of lack of intelligence. You feel the need to elevate yourself to the standard of those around you.

There's a whole educational study about this, the multiple intelligences theory. When I was in college there were 8 but I think there's 9 now. These were the ones I was taught: 1. Interpersonal intelligence - Knowledge of how to communicate with others 2. Intrapersonal intelligence - Knowledge of self-understanding and emotions 3. Linguistic intelligence - knowledge of language and words 4. Logistical/mathematica intelligencel - knowledge of numbers and problem solving 5. Spatial Intelligence - Visual and artistic knowledge 6. Musical intelligence - Knowledge of sound and music 7. Bodily-Kinesthetic Intelligence - Knowledge of physics, anatomy and movement 8. Naturalistic intelligence - Knowledge of nature and the environment

Intelligence does come in different forms. I know a kid who is super super smart, he was asking about Latin V stuff in Latin I. Extremely intelligent, but he is socially inept, not a good project leader or leader in general and a horrible communicator. This doesn’t make him not intelligent. Just not functionally intelligent in other things. The kid could be an actuarial scientist, but not a doctor.

Woody, there is no such thing as left handed tabs. Tabs are just the fret numbering of the notes played. Whether the guitar is left or right, the tabs stay the same, as the notes are no different. Honestly, if you are having such a hard time, you are probably forcing yourself to play the wrong hand. Maybe try the other way, or lower your expectations for a good couple of months and try to enjoy baby steps of improvement as it happens.
