Drug charges are not about drugs. It's about the fact that you challenged the governments authority. It's a victimless crime. A victimless crime is not a crime.

The act in and of itself is a 'victimless' crime, but it's not that simple. Certain drugs (crack, heroin, meth) are insanely addictive and pose an insanely negative impact on the lives of individuals (and their families) and society as a whole. Addiction causes a wake of collateral damage in the form of theft, robberies, forgery, etc etc and also puts a lot of stress on the health care system, as many addicts are uninsured. Parents can't properly care for their children, which ends up fucking the kids up later in life and breaks families apart altogether. When you zoom out and look at the bigger picture, (hard) drugs are an infestation on society. I agree people should have the right to fuck up their own lives...but again, it's not that clearcut of an issue.

@@jenjuice432 drugs are endemic. They themselves are not an infestation. As far as meth and heroin goes. Those should be legal so safer options and methods can be explored. And if better options were available, maybe less people would smoke crack. Plus drug prohibition infringes on most of our freedoms. Everyone suffers because of it. Everyone including our government seems to be giving up the war on drugs. Hopefully no new Nancy Reagans try to revive the old ways.
