I have seen this discussion about suparimpei many times in some videos that I’m performing, and I want to clarify. First my main style is shito ryu, but I do some katas from ryuei ryu and goju ryu style. My suparimpei its goju ryu, I know the timing is not the traditional okinawan goju ryu suparimpei, but the directions and the movements are from that style and not form shito ryu.

He visto mucho la discussion sobre suparimpei en varios videos en los que salgo ejecutando ese kata y quisiera aclarar. Primero mi estilo principal es Shito ryu pero realizo algunos katas de los estilos ryuei ryu y goju ryu. My suparimpei es del estilo Goju Ryu, se que los tiempos no son los tradicionales del suparimpei goju ryu okinawense, pero las direcciones y movimientos son de ese estilo y no de shito ryu

you were corrected on my previous video of antonio.....why are you commenting the same thing again? this is the goju ryu version of suparinpei. if you want to see the shito version click on the next video in my playlist....you'll see Sakura Kokumai (USA) performing it.

Madgecic your video is excellent. It is nice the way you manage to follow them. It also great to hear from Antonio himself. But does this mean he's doing Suparempei for the final in November in Paris (world champs) ?

Dude, im from Venezuela, i am first dan in Shito-Ryu and i have practice with Antonio before. And a do that same version of Suparimpei. Im from the Inoue-Ha.

Just because Antonio is part of Inoue-ha does not make this a shito ryu kata. Besides Inoue, Antonio also trains goju ryu from time to time with sensei Young in Florida (whom I also happen to train with). The movements of this kata are goju ryu my friend.....make no mistake.

Lol, this is so much about performance. If these are the top guys in form,lol not that there kata is not good but its hard not to question can they fight or is there room for form to be perform in real time. There performance is so pre madonna so Diva ish, and trust me i have my own pretty boy style to what i do, but this is way to elegant. The point i believe is to have beauty and destruction wrap in a organize matter. This is a beauty contest, i would love to see them fight, anybody have film.

yes we know he beat valdesi at the last world championships. but for him to beat valdesi again, he needs to do suparinpei. he won't beat him with chatanyara.
