Great video gents. I'd love to see a demonstration of your backlinking system in Tana, specifically how you quickly and efficiently tag items to build a network outside of traditional hubs like Outlook or Gmail. As a busy professional stuck in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, I've been working through Tana's learning curve and think a backlinked system would be highly beneficial for referencing work with colleagues and individuals over time!

Just wondering why you cannot do the shallow thinking part in Heptabase as well. What is driving the use of Tana for this part ?

Thank you for this video. I think many of my doubts have been cleared because of this. I am using Clickup as my personal task and project management tool. (Business Plus plan to be precise due to subtasks in multiple list). I am currently not worried about BKM and BPM as clickup excels in that. I don't want to clutter clickup with every small stuff and want to use it as Single Source of Truth and thus recently purchased Heptabase yearly for it's whiteboarding capabilities. But, I feel something is missing but don't know what and am thinking to explore tana for it and use your workflow as a template for my workflow. But now I feel that Tana has lots of redundant stuff with Clickup and this is creating lots of friction. I like Tana's flexibility a lot and thus am very interested but don't know where to separate these apps. Also, now an issue of price optimization is also creeping its way in my mind. Can you please suggest me something or create a video if you think that this is worthy of your time. Thanks a lot.

What's missing is probably a task management tool. You don't want to clutter ClickUp with every small task. You might want to use something that streamlines capturing Speedies (tasks that take less than 15 minutes). According to the ICOR tool stack we use, Todoist is another tool we integrate alongside ClickUp. Todoist serves as the Personal Project Management (PPM) tool, while ClickUp functions as the Business Project Management (BPM) tool. This setup is ideal for people juggling dozens of tasks daily and weekly. Having a personal task list can be very beneficial. To bring everything together and plan out your work effectively, you might also need a planner. Here, I link two videos that dive into this topic more closely. kzbin.info/www/bejne/e2a6dIaia9t7g5Y kzbin.info/www/bejne/gGrCgnR8eciSo9U If you need a real solution tailored to your specific needs, I highly recommend joining us in the Paperless Movement membership. @paperlessmovement Yes, I am planning to join your community in the upcoming days. Todoist or any other task management tool does not work for me as I think every task associated with a project should be present at a single place. Yes, you are right about a planner, and I tried Sunsama for it, but it was not up to the mark for my clickup workflow. The gap I feel after going through multiple videos is in 1. Automations as Neither Heptabase nor Tana supports Zapier or Make. Thus me having to put so many tasks is creating lots of friction. They don't even have API endpoints, which is a big issue for me. 2. No shallow thinking system and thus direct transition to deep thinking is creating issues. Tana could solve that for me. Clickup will be my everything action management (personal task and personal project) Will join your membership soon as I get free from some of my commitments.

What operating system are you using Tom? I don't recognize the sidebar you're using to launch apps.

My goodness. That was confusing… EDIT: I had to watch the Heptabase 101, 102, 103 videos to even begin to understand this one. I also watched a few Tana videos including a good one called 100 Tana tips. Then, I was surprised to find out that Tana isn't even available to the public as it's in development. I cant even subscribe without an invite from the developers. I am surprised you are encouraging it's adoption so strongly when it isn't available.
