Yuuuuuuk! They couldn't pay me enough to use something that probably hasn't been cleaned in months and who knows what the person/s who stayed in that room ran through it. Whats to say some prankster didnt pee in the water tank.

I believe there is a weight sensor as in the 910 - did not reset because you didn't empty it - you left the water in. The 910 when it gets a certain weight of used cartridges or water combo it flashes if you take out and put back in will still flash and not work - if you empty even one spent out it will work until next use then flash again - empty all and use until same weight is there again. I'm enjoying my Blue Intenso 2 capsules that were $28 for 100 around black friday minus $4 subscribe and save. They are OOS now as are some others - I hope they aren't going to discontinue the Blue for the Expert - that looks like a sad play at gaining market share against nespresso and keurig - they need better marketing not worse capsules.

The LB 300 has a stupid count based “empty bin” warning. It is completely useless.It just flashes the quick flash every X time you use it. I forgot what is the exact count. I just empty it when I see that the bin is full and the pod will not drop into the bin :-)

I'm just concerned there may not be a blue supply if they phase out. Ordered 3 boxes of 100 intenso 2 for subscription at $24.10 each though they are OOS now so not sure I will get next order

@@L0st-n0found you can use the “expert” capsules in the blue mini and the blue capsules in the expert. I prefer frothing myself snd not being forced to use their cup, so I just bought the blue mini. It probably will be discontinued soon - but at least the capsules will still be available. Would love to have a reusable capsule so I could use my own coffee, but apparently those only work for the Euro model, not the 300.

@@matthewharness8446 no you cannot. The capsule design is different and that’s what makes the espresso better. The down side is you have to buy their blue capsule. It’s about 50 to 60 cents a cup.

This is such a nice machine :) the exterior looks so classy. Really lives up to its name. I have a nespresso pixie right now. I am thinking of upgrading. How do you like the taste of this coffee machine? thank you so much!

The coffee is really good. You should get the sampler box (100 of 5 different styles) to find the ones that you like. They do sell out often on Amazon though.

Have you ever tried Decaf capsules in it? I have another type of Lavazza Blue machine and just tried today for the first time decaf and it can barely push the water through it. Regular coffee works without issues.

I drink Decaf all the time, the "Dek" one. It works the same for me. I usually buy the 100 assortment pack.

How many bars is it? I've yet to see any machine under $300 make anything even close to espresso.Yes,they push hot water through espresso coffee pods but is it really an espresso.

I have an E61 espresso machine, a Nespresso and this Lavazza Blue. I bought the Nespresso after the E61 because early in the mourning I have no time to go through the whole routine of making a shot on the E61. The Nespresso was an ok solution, but the end result is definitely not real espresso. Everything tastes bitter and watery. A few years later I bought the Lavazza Blue Classy mini and it produces shots that are very creamy and flavorful. I have no idea what pressure the Nespresso and the Lavazza run at, but the Lavazza definitely puts out something that is really close to real espresso. I am pretty blown away by what it does.

hard to say if it is louder, but it IS loud.

It’s because this machine uses 9bars of pressure to extract the coffee. I have read this is standard extraction for espresso. Nespresso Vertuo is quiet in comparison, but they are extracting by centrifugal force (if I recall correctly). Some coffee gurus will tell you that it is not a true espresso without the pressure and That the crema off Nespresso Vertuo is a false crema. Some people care about it and some don’t. The ones that do Care won’t likely be using these single serve capsules for this and other reasons.

Are you sure you are using the correct type of pod, the BLUE line?

Can you leave the water tank in for more than a few days, or do you have to take it off the unit from time to time?

I only remove the tank and clean it maybe two times a month... I use filtered water, and we use the water pretty quickly so it never sits there for too long.

The discard tray gets a little bit wet in mine. Does most of the water go into the capsule and then out to your cup?

Anyone having issues with coffee not dispensing? Using it for about 6 months and machine turns on, pump comes on, and then no coffee comes out. Please help my WIFE to make my life good again LOL

every now and then it happens to us. I just unplug it. Refill with water, and try again. We have this for many years now and it is still going strong, used daily. Sometimes if the pod is not seated properly it doesn't work -- try that also.

I have not used the Dolce Gusto myself. From looking at them -- they still puncture a single hole to pass the water through the pod? The Lavazza makes several holes to press the pressurized water through, which I think it's a better extraction system.

Honestly I have not been - I use filtered water. And so far the water tastes fine, after over a year of daily use.

Lavazza blue - best combo of good quality coffee brewed at correct temp and pressue with suitable quantity of coffee in a capsule. Nespresso classic would be next with correct (mostly) pressure and almost temp with way too little coffee in capsule and too expensive for the better ones mostly. Nespresso Vertuo would be a very distant 3rd for poor pressue, inconsistent temp though plus I think they have more coffee in pod than classic. Keurig has very little coffee in a pod, very bad for most part brew temp and pressure.... mostly horrible experience. I have not tried the Lavazza Expert though it seems worrisome if may supplant Blue, it looks to have much less coffee per pod - more like the Nespresso classic size.

I thought I read you can use expert pods in the blue mini ... but would appreciate confirmation, if true. My main hesitation about getting this is the blue pod limitation - I don’t really want to order 100 at a time to try various flavors. If they’re planning to discontinue- that’s another downside. Would love to be able to use reusable pods filled with coffee of my choice. I’ve been using stovetop stainless steel moka for decades and have very little free space in kitchen. The mini was tempting ... but ...
