Trout Catch and Cook - Kayak Trout Fishing

Took my son out trout fishing in my Old Town Autopilot 136 kayak with the Minn Kota motor. We cooked it afterwards and had a great time. This was filmed at Olalla Reservoir in Toledo, Oregon.

I have been driving myself crazy watching kayak fishing on utube . I got my lure 11.5 tore apart . 7 years of use and time to replace deck pad . I just about worn thru the deck pad with all the fishing I have done in it in the last 7 years. It was so dirty after I pulled deck pad , that I went ahead and pulled plexiglass out of floor to clean the cracks . I will have it done tomorrow just in time to have to go to work . I will get out and play next day off work .

The bed of your truck should have slots in the bedside to put 2x6's in. That would give you some elevation above the bed floor.

Its always good to see Kevin, today he rocked the trout! Good job Kevin! PK, I always change the hooks on the Brad's cut plugs, I just do not like the straight shank that does not set the hook well. Great looking food too!

There's at least one... the Hobie Fiesta is 4 seats (2 sets of side by side chairs) -- it doesn't seem to be as well suited to fishing, but maybe could be adapted.
