Thanks for the video. I'm 68 now but started sewing at the age of 12 in 1961. I made all my clothes, coats and even men's suits but wow are things different now!!! The machines and all those feet. All we had was a machine, a regular foot and a zipper foot. Your verbal and visual instructions are wonderful. You voice is also very pleasing. I feel like I'm learning to sew all over again👍

OMG, in all the years I've been sewing, I never knew that was a guide bar. I saw it in my case inside my machine and thought it was something to do with maintenance of my sewing machine. Wow, I'm so glad I caught this tutorial. I learned something great today. Thank you so much. Now making matching lines will be so much easier.

I never thought it would be so helpful to see you move your presser foot on the project! Watching someone sewing on their machine can be a bit confusing, sewing's one of those things that makes more sense when you do it yourself. But seeing the presser foot away from the machine was really helpful in understanding how to sew that pattern. Great video!

Cheryl, what an amazing way to construct a placement with mitered corners. Also amazing is your instruction using the quilting guide bar. I have practiced with mine over the years, and still have a rough time keeping the guide bar straight. I am so conditioned to watching the needle. Most likely that is my problem. You have given me hope. Thank you.
