Oh man it feels like this video was made for me. My mom is a doula and one of her side jobs for years has been dehydrating, grinding up, and putting placenta powder into capsules for her clients to take after birth. There isn’t SOLID evidence but I do know that it has properties that will help women avoid postpartum depression and other imbalances after giving birth. It was always a gross and embarrassing situation as a kid to have friends over and go into our basement only for it to smell like rotting meat because some random woman’s placenta was dehydrating in a corner. I thought it was a placebo thing for a bit but it does seem to hold some weight in being legit. I just hope my mom’s work is making a difference 😭 because it’s so fucking gross.
@Summer-902 ай бұрын
As a woman that had severe postpartum depression with my first, I can honestly say, placebo or not, I have willingly tried the capsules with my second to avoid that hell again. It absolutely helped. If i missed a couple days, I could tell. I'd like to be alive for my kids. I was almost not. So, thank your mom for doing what she can. However any other way is not gonna happen. People be crazy. I'm not cooking it up, or doing anything myself. Ew.
