I've had mine a couple years now. Was definitely a diffucult pedal at first, thanks for this great tutorial on it. I never read the manual, just turned the knobs till i was happy with what it was doing! I kinda understand the beast now, looking forward to part 4 as those are my favorite algorithms

HI Kelly, I'm glad the video was helpful! I keep bouncing back and forth on what my favorite algorithms are, but I do find I spend a lot of time with that last batch of 4. Thanks for watching :)

Considering this or a Baklengs. It seems like it does much more but also a bit complex? Selling my hologram Microcosm, that thing is untamable, unweildly complex, and not for reasons of sound exploration as most of it feels like a preset/multi-fx..easier to have a separate looper and a box for each function of sound, without changes between songs, so i ended up mainly using two patches microloop, haze, and the filtered sequencer (hey i can buy a phaser/filter no prob for that...). Thing is i play guitar and sing, so maybe i should get both haha, i cant be fiddling too much so i thought the baklengs. It certainly feels more organic and less pigeonholed into "ambient modular genre" than the Hologram. Can it go crazy on loud distorted glitchy leads too? Without going too in depth what's the difference, or particular sounds each does?

Hmm… honestly, for playing live, I’d recommend the Baklengs, because the controls are a little simpler and you won’t ever have to try to think, “What does P2 control on Algorithm 12?” when you are getting ready to start your next song. Both pedals are wonderful, and there is some crossover in the sounds they can make… they both do the crazy glitchy thing, and both would work well for what you describe, in my opinion :)
