Truth is, that's what much of war really is. "Who does this place and everything in it belong to? The guys whom kill everyone else that think it belongs to them." WWI literally WAS men fighting back and forth over patches of earth. It's basic territoriality, and much of nature repeats the same story over and over again all the way down to the microscopic. Your immune system thinks your body is its turf, and viruses and bacteria want to take (and "eat") it for themselves.

Thanks! This particular table had a lot of different terrain. The desert/sand elements were from gamemat.eu. The rest was 3d printed from thingiverse files such as the containers. The fence was 3d printed from saucermen studios. 🙂

Just stumbled upon this BR after being a fan of PlayOn Tabletop and 40K Lore, but being fed up with GW antics and prices. With OPR and GF, do you find it’s a better outcome to make a list that combines Battle Brothers and Prime Brothers, or to grab a community book that revamps the Battle Brothers into a single group?

@@MiniatureGameMontage Wicked fast response for it being on an older video, thanks! I appreciate the candor, and I’ll post on their discord to see if I can get some guidance. Great Battle Report though, and it also gave me a ton of confidence that OPR can replace 40K and still feel like a tactically fulfilling game! I heard a ton of naysayers complain about how OPR felt hollow, that it didn’t have the depth of 40K, and that all the armies felt the same. Seems like the advanced mission rules, command point system, etc can help to really make the play crunchier.

@@kblackbeard6 no it’s totally a “bolt on” game. The core mechanics are easy but you can really bolt on a lot to give it a a lot of variability and depth. And I’m like the eye of Sauron! 🤣

I can see myself introducing OPR to friends who are new to Wargaming in its most basic form, and then introducing things to deepen the experience when the basics are settled in. Even certain aspects like toeing in, passing turns strategically, or adjusting certain things like “locked in combat” vs backing off an inch per rules as written. OPR seems like its simplicity is actually a feature not a bug for adjusting things, because you’re less likely to break the game by making a tweak to something that you may not love about the rules.

Thanks! All you need is a phone with a decent camera. I used to do recording and audio on just my phone. I used iMovie to do all the editing. Now I use Davinci Resolve which is a free editing program. It can be done on a very low budget.

I am amazed the DB destroyers were balanced. Every time I’ve played they seem completely underwhelming. 400-500 point for 9 3+ Wounds is nothing
