This is great thank you. I intend on getting my seat upholstered. But this could serve as a temporary make do solution, and can stay on as a waterproofing layer after, to be upholstered over.

Yes, it is a good solution if you live in a place where it rains too much. Do not forget to cover the foam base with a thin plastic.

Estimado amigo, ¡Muchas gracias nuevamente por ver estos videos! En efecto, en este video se demuestra como aprovechar el estiramiento del vinil para dar la forma al asiento. Este método es rápido y útil porque no ocupamos coser. Funciona muy bien para lugares donde llueve mucho. Pasé por alto el plástico protector que va sobre la base de espuma. Es muy importante ponerlo.

It makes more sense to take the original seats design and transfer it to the new material if you have enough of it to do that.

I asked an upholstery man how much to do my seat, he said €300. I watched this vid, did it myself, did a good job and only cost €15 fabric and €5 glue.
