My dad's been hospitilized for a long time due to covid, he's still kicking. If I recall correctly, last song we sung together was Santiana. 62 years young. Greetings from Greece!

The printed version that I found in 1980s had "Santa Ana" instead of "Santiago". Santa Ana was a jew. He had a prosthetic leg, which he hoisted on flagpoles to be saluted by the soldiers.

No one has ever asked me that before. Here ya go: I wish I was old Stormy’s son, Hooraw Santiano I wish I was old Stormy’s son, all along the plains of Mexico. Chorus: So heave her up and away we go Hooraw Santiano Heave her up and away we go all along the plains of Mexico. I’d build me ship of a thousand tons, Hooraw Santiano And load her up with Jamaican rum, all along the plains of Mexico I’d give ye whiskey and lots of gin, Hooraw Santiano And stay in the port that we was in, all along the plains of Mexico Though times is hard and the wages low, Hooraw Santiano ‘Tis time for us to roll and go, all along the plains of Mexico When I leave this ship I’ll settle down, Hooraw Santiano And marry a tart called Sally Brown, all along the plains of Mexico
