Technically this wouldn't hurt that much, since they aren't like crushing or cutting the balls themselves (which is where the major pain receptors are), Instead they are cutting the tube and vein areas that hold onto the balls, and once that is cut you can't even feel your balls anymore, therefore the animal wouldn't be in much pain at all in fact after this was done.

Yup, you are correct; no stripes horizontally on the belly, only the one along the centerline to the rump, pattern of stripes on the rump, and most telling, he has a dewlap on his throat if you look around 4:50
