To follow that is the vision it has. That is the creation of that vision. Habit Two is based on the principle of vision, purpose, meaning, mission.

This speech is kind of vague because #1 you cannot plan correctly or even know how to plan without the KNOWLEDGE of WHAT to plan or how to plan, what obstacles you need to be looking out for e.t.c. part of the planning I guess should be plan to acquire knowledge on whatever goal or conquest your trying to conquer.
@alicivrilify16 күн бұрын
Curious about one thing (if Robert Greene would himself answer): I got "some" of the wisdom in your books by years of struggle and pain. The range of topics you've gained insight on is simply admirable. It is obvious that you are a keen observer and an introspective person. But, have you had any other sort of pain, health issues etc. that lead you to this path, as most people waste their life by "reacting" to what happens in the outer world instead of looking inwards. Or is it just that you have been built this way?

Absolutely phenomenal! As a coach, I’m constantly advising my clients to adopt this long-term vision you described. I recently had a client who was overwhelmed by the chaos of running their business, constantly reacting and spiraling into “tactical hell.” We worked on visualizing the end goal with as much clarity as Alfred Hitchcock did, even down to the details, and then worked backward to plan for success. The transformation was remarkable-suddenly, the daily stresses became minor hurdles because they had a concrete vision and knew exactly where they were going. This video perfectly articulates the power of planning, thank you for breaking it down so well!

At 17 I took a deep look into what I saw as the future. At 23 I made a solid vow to myself to reach absolute zero in progress and self terminate when I as a person am no longer capable of working. Over the last few years my already 58yr old self has been pinned as no longer valuable. Not only have I put in my years of service as a working man, but, I maintained the zero life. Well it seems my time is up. Not that I am not capable. I serve no purpose. I no longer wish to witness what is to come. What I saw at 17 has come to be still at 58. A plan to the end. It has reached the end.

He is so right! I love planning and I’m extremely anal. I remember planning my move from apartment to apartment. I started planning about 5 months in advance and packing three months out. I had spread sheets, printed labels, notes for the elevators and a moving itinerary. I labeled the walls to match the boxes so they knew where to put them at the new apartment. I mean EVERYTHING was accounted for including exact instructions for the movers. I’m an anxious person but come moving day there was little for me to do once I handed over the instructions. I stepped back and let the professionals do their thing. I didn’t interact with them once while they were moving. When the move was done they said I was the most laid back client they ever had. 😂Clearly they had no idea who they were talking to. I am the least laid back person I know. 😂So I shared that because it’s a good example of what he just shared. For that short moment in time I was buddha like…..to them.
