Plan with Me:GRH unit Canadian Government!

I have so enjoyed teaching this unit to my girls! They did such a good job speaking to how Canada's government works without getting bogged down in party affiliations. I was able to give my kids examples of current events that applied to the topics we were discussing which to great conversations! I hope this video helps if you are planning on doing this unit! Hugs

If you're looking for writers writing about Canada L.M. Montgomery. She writes Anne of Green Gables and Road to Avonlee. There are many Canadian authors but I don't know if their work is on Canada. Guy Gavriel Kay and Margret Atwood are Canadian.

@@homeschoolautismlife Thank you! We have a lot of curriculum for British literature and American literature but I did want to find a unit study or curriculum for Canadian literature. L.M. Montgomery is the author that inspired me to try to find a specific Canadian literature course. Do your high school or middle school students have a specific Canadian literature course they have to do for credit?

@@lillahigdon771 You ask such good questions. So as far as a ready to go curriculum I don't know if there is one that I would endorse. Compared to the rest of the world we are a young country at 150ish years. Many of those years many just survived the winters and tried to figure out our identity as not a British colony. 😂 There were many writers so there is literature to find however most curriculums made today in Canada are filled with more liberal and ideological issues. In the last ten years the political landscape is skewed where truth isn't really important. If you want to do a Canada unit go for history! Here on KZbin there is a series called This is Us: the story of Canada and it's very good. The books I shared in this video are really good too. I love how innocent and lovely the Anne of Green Gables and Road to Avonlee! I hope this helps.
