I would take away the struggles. I think the highest functioning autistic people see it as a benefit. I think it's harder if a person can't function on an adult level. My child has made me a better human being and my life will be making sure she has a good quality of life and that she feels loved, wanted, and safe.

It is hard to see our kids struggle to cope...it is lovely to have such a great goal for yourself and her. Hugs
