March in Canada is the PERFECT winter weather. It's still below 0 degrees, and there's still tons of snow (yea we get like a 7 month winter) but it's warm enough that you're not turning into a living popsicle. It's the BEST.

A daffodil doodle? You mean a daffodoodle-- Omg that quote at the end was so relatable. I've been so angry this last month, I think I'm going to use that quote for next month as well just to remind myself to CHILLLL.

I didn't think daffodils would be that easy to draw. Thank you for a great tutorial Shayda. One of the things I like about this channel is the way you use color. It's very lovely.

It's such a pleasure to watch your doodling and hear your voice-over explaining your processes. You make everything look so effortless, but when I go to try it, it's not so easy. I hope that's because I am at the very beginning stage. Thanks so much for all you share and explain...I can only hope that it will sink in some day!
@CrazyAGCat4 жыл бұрын
OMG I can't believe I've never found your videos before! I clicked onto this one because I've been finishing up my March setup, and daffodils are my favorite flowers. But your voice-over and your thoughts and processes are just so fun and cool! I love that you keep your designs minimalist-- as an illustration major in college, I almost never want to draw extensively in my bujo because I would rather be working on homework illustrations than using my "doodle energy" in my bujo. After this video I was grabbing something from the kitchen and told my mom about your video (she does bujo as well) and she told me she was already subscribed to you!! So wow! You must be even better than I thought hehe. Thank you for sharing your awesome content!

Hello !Shayda!! This is absolutely a very wonderful March month spread., ,with the lovely Daffodil flowers .They look so pretty ,easy to follow ,and bring it alive by sketching it .As I followed you ,here , I remembered a famous poem ' ,, '''The Daffodils '' by the well known famous English poet .William Wordsworth . The lines ,.'''Beside the lake ,and beneath the trees ,fluttering and dancing in the breeze ,'' And the last lines ,For oft ,when on my couch I lie ,in vacant or in pensive mood ,they flash upon that inward eye ,,which is the bliss of solitude ,,and then my heart with pleasure fills ,and dances with the daffodils .'' Lovely lines and they go perfectly with your beautiful sketches. of the daffodils.Thank you so much Goodwishes, infinite happiness and blessings to you .👌👍🍀🌷☮♾💙🙏🙏

I used to draw a lot in high school. I would not have considered myself good, but after watching how you break down the set up and guide lines to draw your flowers...it makes it seem much more attainable for an okay artist like me. I honestly LOVE how you have chosen to do your cover pages with the flower of each month. That alone sets a very positive cide to your buju, just saying. @marryberrystudio sent me btw. Love KZbinrs supporting other KZbinrs. ❣

Would you consider doing a video on drawing (and/or painting) cherry blossoms? I've been using different manga as reference but it would be nice seeing them drawn in real time for reference! I really love that layout for the week! I'll try it in August. I'm actually using an older spread I saw you use in a 2019 month (I watched your flip through so I can't remember which month) for March and it works with my theme pretty well, so I want it to be consistent for aesthetic. I really don't want to mess up March since my birthday is in there and I want to be able to say the whole month looked pretty in my journal lol. Thank you for sharing your monthly setup! And that you struggle a bit with the drawing sometimes too. It makes me feel a bit better when I look at my own florals!

I've had my Micron pens for like 11 years lol I love them and since I don't use them all that often they still have ink. If anyone is on the fence about spending the money on them, they are worth it. I don't journal but this almost makes me want to haha
