An RV-10 is an experimental kit plane. Experimental planes are not built by manufacturers but built by individual owners with workmanship overseen by FAA authorities. It’s hard to answer the gap of unknown facts from this report but being an experimental plane does not make it less safe necessarily than a factory built airplane given the level if intelligence and skill set these individual builders possess. Over the last number of years both experimental and factory build airplanes have had great reductions in the area of accidents. The reason you hear of so many plane crashes is that a plane crash is news if a car crash occurs it often needs to be a 15 car pile up to make the news. Also, we live in a news cycle 24 hours a day now and the news people have to find news to have enough stories to keep people tuning in. Thus we have click bait, fake news, inaccurate stories and reports watched where you watch and haven’t had the who, what, where, when and why questions answered that good newsman cover. It’s a sign of the times.

So the plane just landed within that little square then - 'sarcasm', a plane most if not all times would leave a streak due to the forward velocity it carries in its momentum and the dispersion of debris, even if it has lost its wings - what is this! It's just a square hole down the center of a building, that's something I can tell someone a missile was dropped and would be more likely to believe.
