I just bought this game. Now mind you I have a ps4 pro and a PSVR and am knee deep in Horizon Zero Dawn on my 4K HDR and I still snapped this up this morning as soon as I knew it was available. why? Best Game of all Time. Thanks for doing this! I never actually beat the game waaaay back in the day, got near the end and my CD was scratched or something.

William Gregg is soooooo good. When you play it, pay attention to it, don't have like your TV going in the background, like let the ambience and story hook you, it is literally one of the best games ever made.

That game was such a broken mess. Absolutely loved it anyway. Same with Vampire - utterly broken and completely loved to this day. Something about the games those guys made was just special. As far as I know the Troika guys joined Obsidian a while back and are working on something new. No news what yet as far as I'm aware but I can't wait.

Looking forward to release! Have the original, never made it out of the Hive. It will be nice not having to install all of the mods to get it up and running. Even with mods the fog of war shimmered whenever I moved which was annoying. I installed a mod that was supposed to fix that, but then my mouse cursor left a trail behind it. Thanks Beamdog, glad I will be able to install and play this time. Bravo

Yves the Tale-Chaser actually told a tale of a man who fell in love with the Lady of Pain which is pretty similar to this dating simulator idea. In this dating sim you would play as The Transcendent One and you would attempt to do your dating through remotely-controlled shadows which you would polymorph to make them look nicer and not look like shadows. And sometimes your shadows would get killed and you would get low on lives and you would have to hunt down and kill The Nameless One one or more times in order to get more lives. Anyway the game would actually just be a hack of Super Mario Brothers, where Mario would be a polymorphed shadow controlled by The Transcendent One, Bowser would be The Nameless One, the various monsters you fight would be The Nameless One's many many friends and acquaintances and lovers, all the castles except the final castle would have Toad who would really just be a dabus thanking you for rescuing him and giving you a clue on where to find the Lady of Pain, and in the final castle you would rescue the Princess who would actually be the Lady of Pain and you would finally free her from her cage, free her from Sigil, and all the dabuses would put in a good word for you with her and together you and the Lady of Pain would take over the entire multiverse with your combined powers once you finally hooked up together. In other words the game would just be a simple sprite hack of Super Mario Brothers.

Arcanum is just begging for an Enhanced Edition. Such a gem of a game but lots of small details and bugs that could be ironed out. For me the roleplaying experience is on par with Torment.

It has always bothered me that there hasn't been other campaigns in Planescape using this engine (because of licenses?) I love Planescape:Torment, but have played it quite a few times. Time to bring in the story of some of the other characters (before and after they meet the Nameless One), possible other adventures.

I think there is a charm in those misspellings. It shows a human touch to the game. If a characters name is misspelled by different characters throughout the world then it gives the impression of there being different ways people pronounce the same name - again creating a more live experience.

I would love to hear what Mr. Avellone discusses about PS:T and KOTOR 2 (and anything else he'd be interested in sharing about), in a contemporary interview. Maybe archetypes are real (I'm not at all sure that they are, inclined to think they are not real), but also maybe they are produced by people, for themselves and/or others. And produced archetypes are definitely real I think, however that works.

Any story set in the Planescape setting (whether PS:T, your homebrewed campaign, or anything else) would be completely inappropriate for a live-action treatment of any sort. The peculiar art style is integral to the otherworldliness of the setting. Seriously, just look at the artwork of DiTerlizzi, Robh Ruppel, Dana Knutson, and their inspirations, like Brian Froud and Piranesi's Le Carceri etchings. Take a look at the art for PS:T itself. Could you actually imagine an actor wearing the spiky red Harmonium armor not looking utterly garish and ridiculous on camera? Could you imagine the modrons or guardinals not looking like ridiculous cartoons if they had to interact with live actors as cgi creations? Just think about all of the shitty live action adaptations of cartoons we've seen over the years, like The Flintstones, The Cat in the Hat, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Garfield, Scooby Doo, etc., or the weird CGI fests where everything is obviously shot in front of a greenscreen, like 300 , The Immortals, or the Star Wars prequels. Think of the astronomical budget required to do the scope of the setting justice. And even with a budget comparable to LoTR or something similar, it's still an issue of 'should' rather than 'can'. No, Planescape would need to be animated. There is literally no other way to do it. Animation frees the story to look the way it imagined, much like the best anime.

re: the team, I believe for certain there are good persons upstream. I don't know at all if this will make a material difference in the way human beings want. No person knows best, but without question some know better. Bobby Kennedy because of his moment of inertia, not because of where he started; H.S. Suhrawardy and MK Gandhi both, likewise. Look in the mirror.

Why are there black board around every single character? My assumption: just being lazy? My thought: it can be good for some people to see a bit more clear where the characters are, but it also take the character out from the environment, now it looks more like a "game" not sure that's good for PST. Good job guys!!

Enhanced edition looks like shit to me, I do not understand why would people opt to play this game in higher resolutions, which make characters look like small ants and you can not fully see the details in paintings/art, and I also do not like new stile/graphics of main menu and every other in-game menu. Games like this are just not meant to be played in high resolutions. Original gog version already updated this game to be playable on modern systems.

The interviewer seems to be a coward and a liar (and I've been cowardly and said lies in the past, and might do so again in the future, hopefully not). The emperor wears no clothes. The producers did a very poor job. Chris Avellone writes better fiction than Asimov AFAIK, and I appreciate some of Asimov's fiction writing.
