Wtf? Not much, if any real difference with the graphics, if any. The f'ing game Isn't being looked after you morons, that think that it is. The graphics are okay. It's the lack of real content and endless bs grinding being recycled. Maybe I should do my own video. But, there are bigger problems. Than the stupid graphics and art. That needs to be addressed. One thing, is people couldn't get from instance to instance last week in Swtor. Like, I said Biofail/Broadsword is really stupid to think i'd ever pay 14.99 for the crap they have now.

Happy with all changes except for Ilum. I think it looks better with the darker ice formations. Gives the whole scenery this unique eerily vibe I feel on Ilum which I really really like.

It looks like Ilum comparisons are made with different sub directions each.

I thought the same thing at first, but it's not all the ice so it almost feels like it's based on the direction of the light and that makes more sense than eternal darkness. Ice is very prismatic so that would also play a factor.

the brighter ice should be cause by the sun direction, and during the darker section of the map, seems like it looks way better, will keep my judgement until i see it in game

Didn't go far enough IMO, player characters still look like Clone Wars Toons compared to the newer story NPCs. Either work towards bringing all models up to the same realism level or bring the newer NPCs down to the same level of Tooniness. Currently they don't look like they belong in the same setting.

@@rajtozaur They were built by the natives to guard their tombs. As such they symbolize the strength & endurance of the sith. The people were rugged, shaped by the harsh environment, it's what made the individual strong. Those statues survived thousands of years against the same elements, wars, in harsh conditions, and then the cheerleading squad came in and decided they need six packs.

I dont know about the char models all it looks like they did was change shading on them made them a little darker. Doesn't feel like they changed anything.

Texture upgrades and presumably model detail upgrades, since that would be needed to get smooth texture transitions.

Harder to tell with player/character model upgrades. Once live probably be easier to see than it is in just brief clips. What I DO hope is they upgraded the textures from earlier armors which now look pixelated compared to never stuff.

@@finnneganfox I wouldn't called them primitive, they fought off the Rakata and conquered other world like Ziost with their hyperspace technology. They were less advanced than the Dark Jedi obviously, but at that time they were not primitive anymore.

The Character Modernization is a bit mid but nice to see the start of, odd to call it a character model modernization when it looks to just be textures not models that are getting upgraded, unless I missed some improvements that aren't immediately identifiable from their video.

@splatfan I'm sure it's all of them. They did speak a few years ago about upgrading the entire graphics of the game slowly. They've done quite a few so far - the lightening, new hairs, textures, upgrading their systems etc. But it probably won't look as good as these newer, modern MMOs, but it will look better than it is.

One of the things everyone agrees on are many of the planets in SWTOR are gorgeous. Given those areas a nice polish is very intelligent. It will help keep things fresh. This isn't a repaint. It is like buffing and polishing a nice car. It makes the areas look better.

Great job, much needed refresh. Now you guys need to refresh earlier armor sets and add some additional customization options for character creator, like additional tattoos, scars & jewelry for every character (not only specific race or class), to truly make your character unique. And for the love of all good and holy, please fully voice purple quest lines, its such an emersion breaker.

Thanks to the devs for all of the hard work but i wish we could have the choice in the settings between the two graphics style.. Because i personally REALLY LOVE the Clone Wars graphics and designs that we have right now. It'll break my heart if they don't give us an option between the two like other games.. (WoW, for ex) 😞🙏 But I completely understand that people like the new style and it's cool, i just wish and PRAY that they're going to let us choose what we want in the settings. + in addition, it can help people who don't have a really good PC to still run and play the game. (And i don't want these new graphics in low definitions personally, i prefer the exact old graphics for characters and world in either a lower definition or in an other settings.) In a way it's a preservation of art too, if they do this they can do whatever they want with the new graphics without limiting themselves. Because it seems that they want to remaster it. (It is a win win and i think it wouldn't be that hard to implement 🤔) Hopefully it will happen, i love this game so much. ❤️
