Hey Silvarret, you are as much a coaster nerd as I am, so I trust you don´t take this the wrong way. As a point of critique, if you look at real world park layouts, the transfer tracks of roller coasters are always located next to roads that then connect to public roads since this is where the coaster cars are placed onto the track when the ride is complete. I don´t know if you´re aware of this or even have talked about already - I just wanted to share that observation with you in case you want to go even more into realistic park design. Loving the build so far!

Ok, HELP please. At 17:18 when Silv hits the Add Trigger button it adds to where the last trigger was. Mine ALWAYS adds the new trigger all the way back at the station. This is a HUGE pain on the dark ride I'm working on right now because it's 7000 ft of track and having to drag each trigger all the way from the start each time is incredibly tedious and time consuming. My life would be so much easier if I could add new triggers where the last one was added but both Add Trigger and Duplicate Trigger go back to the start. Is there some setting I'm missing or something?

Incredible layout! The only things I would criticize is you first inversion (idk if it classifies as an immelmann) and you transition into the final lift hill. The first inversion is very rough, even from a track POV. The transition into the last lifthill looks like it has a lot of laterals, but I guess that's pretty common. Great job on the first drop! You normally follow a very circular profile, but this is more parabolic and has more even verticals that don't peak.

The shaping is nice and very B&M like! But I do not like the fact that you use a second lift hill. This is not a really elegant solution for a cliff coaster.
@matthewjohnson4276 жыл бұрын
Really, the mid-course brake should have been moved up several feet. You'd keep the view from the top and not need to worry about the second lift. I'm also not a fan of the holding brake on that drop. It kind of kills whatever pacing you would have had.
@CdnMoose34826 жыл бұрын
Wow, amazing build Silv! Seeing as it's on topic, what are your thoughts on the new dive coaster Yukon Striker being built at Canada's Wonderland?
@glenclough90806 жыл бұрын
Hmm the Immelmann looks wrong here, the inversion at the top isn’t very smooth. Also strange choice to go with a brake at the top of the second drop.
@Silvarret6 жыл бұрын
I couldn't get it much smoother than this - I think I'm out of shape and need to practice a bit more again :') Also - it's a dive loop, rather than an Immelmann, which is unusual for a dive coaster, but it was the best thing I could fit into the canyon this way, same for the second drop holding brake.
@emonadeo6 жыл бұрын
@@Silvarret Is the holding brake on the second drop on purpose or accidentally placed? I don't mind it at all, just wondering because real dive coasters don't have it on the second drop. (Also not having the holding brake gives you more freedom to shape the drop more realistically)
@RudiRennkamel6 жыл бұрын
@@emonadeo I'm quite sure there is one dive coaster that has a second holding break for the second drop. Can't really remember where but 98%sure

On the 2nd drop, the downwards view seems a little, I'm not sure, boring? Would be cool if we had something going on down there, I really like the waterfall to the right but the left seems barren.... Then again, I guess if you were on it IRL you wouldnt just be staring forwards, you'd be able to look around and things would be more interesting so I guess that's fine, looks great from the normal park view also so probably nothing that needs changing

I can totally get behind that, but then again I feel like the point of a game is sometimes to do something a bit ridiculous and make a coaster that's unlike it's real life counterpart, but looks like it *could* theoretically be built by the real life company. That was in large part the idea here, in any case.
