Another method for the Flawless achievement involves "dashboarding", which basically means that you "Quit Game" closing it and going back to the dashboard as soon as you die, forcing it to close. When you load it back up, you will lose minimal progress and the achievement should unlock at the end.

Not sure if anyone has posted a solution to the flawless achievement but if you press start return to main menu then force quit game it creates a cloud save (I did this every time I came to a difficult spot like the drone flying parts) then if you die press the xbox button hover over the game press start then manage game and add ons go down to saved data and delete, this will force when you load the game back on to take the saved game from the cloud (where you haven’t died yet) continue to end and achievements are yours! Can confirm this method worked for me. Good luck all and thank you Maka guide was spot on 😊

I can confirm as of Oct. 2023. If you are caught and just reload check point. Or if you die, wait for the game to load back in, go to main menu and restart that chapter. It will still pop the Flawless Achievement. Thanks for the collectables guide Maka.

Thank you Maka91 for the guide! I was able to get all collectibles and the Flawless achievement in one run, my first time playing this game. *Important Note:* The method I used for "0 Deaths" was to reload checkpoint (in the pause menu) whenever I got spotted or was about to die. *When I died for real,* I pressed the xbox button to pull up the dashboard, closed the game completely, launched the game again, then went to my save file and pressed resume game (you'll drop back in a nearby spot before you died). Only had to use this 2 times in my playthrough, but it's you can use it unlimited times, and the achievement unlocked right as the game was ending.

Another option for the Flawless achievement is to make a cloud save at key points by exiting out to the main menu and closing the game. Then on a death press the Guide button, manage game, and delete the local save without closing the game. I died six or seven times but always was able to revert to a cloud save from before the death and it popped at the end of chapter 13.

2:41:25 when I first played it (blind playghtough) I've actually put the robot inside the cage and blocked it with the magnet so he couldn't get out at all🤣 Then I got to the second console, activated it and since I couldn't fly out either myself, while he was still inside, I left him now turned off completely, got back to the first console, removed the magnet from that cage area and went back to take control over the robot again, haha it's a longer way of how You did it but I thought that since it was possible to block the robot inside, that was the right solution😅 Anyway, thank You for another amazing guide, Maka! I ended the game with my hand on head totally expecting to not get the final 310gs, I did a handful and combination of dashboarding out upon death, turning off the console in panic as it was fading to black, and a few times where I was actually able to pause and restart at last checkpoint. When the flawless achievement popped I threw my hands in the air with relief, knowing that it's possible and I can be done and happy.. Thank you so much Maka for the guide!

Planting a flag for future trophy hunters. Completed on PS5 17/09/24. For the 'Flawless' Trophy, I used cloud backup saves. At the end of each chapter, and before a difficult puzzle section, I quit out and made a cloud save. (Make sure to disable automatic syncing so you don't overwrite your safety save). Then if I died or Mui died, I downloaded my safety save and went from there. You can make as many saves as you want. A robot can spot you and chase you, that will not void the trophy. As long as you pause and restart the checkpoint, you'll be fine. I got spotted loads but I reloaded and the trophy popped just fine. Overall, a great game, would recommend!

The first ever game I played on a computer was called Manic Miner for the Sinclair Spectrum in 1983, I was 15 years old. Platformers have always been my favourite games to play. Fast forward to now being a 55 year old gamer, I still have a fondness for platformers, as with time each platformer has always brought its own uniqueness, variety, and playability. After playing Planet of Lana, it's great to see the evolution of platformers. Apart from the great animation, sublime visuals, and fantastic soundtrack, it ranks as one of my all-time top ten platformers. Well done to all involved in bringing this superb game to fruition. Love your guides Maka! My first play through following the guide I didn’t get the flawless achievement (messed up somewhere and completed the game). Did some research and realized you don’t need to restart the chapter if you died, rather, once you regain control of Lana quit to main menu and select resume. The game only saves at checkpoints and doesn’t when you die. Replayed this way, and can confirm this works.

Thanks Maka for another solid guide my guy. For the flawless I did die twice in the whole game. Once in like 7 or 8 I fell off the swinging rope and then once in I think 11 when after a cut scene I wasnt paying attention and the robots got me. Both times I just dash boarded out and quit game, loaded the game back up and re started the chapter and i got flawless achievement. Hope that can helps someone with it.

Great walkthrough. I'd have never found some of those shrines without this. One thing though, I died a few times and went to replay those chapters. Having replayed the sections I died in the flawless achievement didn't pop. I have a look on the POL subreddit and to get the achievement you have to do the whole game in one flawless run. Simply replaying certain chapters won't cut it.

The way Maka talks about the flawless achievement is definitely specific to PC, as far as being able to just start the chapter over. On Xbox, doing each individual chapter deathless will not unlock flawless. I died at the end of 12, replayed it and did chapter 13 as well and it did not unlock. At first I was like, the hell with this game for now. But then I was quickly like, no.. I’m doing this today. So I started a new save file and played from the beginning. I got to the puzzle at 1:05:25 and the robot got Mui as we were trying to escape. I didn’t pause in time. The only thing I trust on Xbox to get the flawless achievement is to pause at the very beginning of a missed jump/before being caught. Anyway, very helpful video but can definitely say I’m disgusted enough with this game after being caught in Chapter 5 on the second run, that I won’t be touching this again for at least a week or so. .. of course I was too stubborn to wait. Currently on chapter 9 with no deaths 🤞

I had a couple of troubling moments - controlling the drone style robot through the fan in chapter 10... failed 5 times, restarting the level immediately each time trying to get the Flawless achievement in 'one go'. Then I failed at the very final jump of the final boss but didn't have the energy to restart the whole of chapter 12 at that point. Go to the end of the game and it still gave me the Flawless one despite that death, so relieved!!! Love the guides Maka91.

Can confirm dying then closing the game, reloading the checkpoint, and reloading a chapter after dying still works. I did all these methods in one playthrough and it still works as of 8/16/23. At least for me anyway good luck everyone else👍

Thank you Maka for an excellent guide, unfortunately I've not been able to get the flawless (or 100%) achievement, despite on my first run either restarting a chapter/checkpoint or noting down the chapter and redoing it after I'd got to the end if I died. I then redid the entire game, although not in chapter order in case I had overlooked something. I believe I've done all chapters without dying and just wish there was some indicator as to which chapter I need to redo (as I assume there is one in which for some reason my brain has not registered that I died). Really frustrating as its so many gamerscore and this takes a little away from the enjoyment of what was a good game and a first class walkthrough.

I can confirm, after getting the Flawless achievement on my run, that one the Xbox it is possible now (as someone said a few weeks ago that it didn't work for them through chapter select) to restart the chapters when you die if you are unable to load previous checkpoint as I died on a few different chapters at all different locations. Thank you again Maka, had this game on my catch up list since its release and can say that I thoroughly enjoyed the game, despite its difficulties at times when trying to 100%. I found the artistic feel of it was such a good point in this game and it went well with the story and mechanics of the game.

Also, if you get all the way through to the boss type battle at the end (with the big light that pulses) and die I did not restart chapter there, I did the Xbox menu, highlight game and press start button then selected quit game very quickly. This allowed me to keep progress up to where I was with minimal progress loss (think Maka mentioned this option in a comment as well) and did not register a death as it was like 1-2 minutes behind where my death was

@2:19:44 there is a bug where the bushes are not present, making it impossible to pass the robot. I died many times trying to figure out how to move through here. Then I came to this walk through and saw bushes... 🤬 Luckily you can exit to main menu and come back and the bushes are there (for me, at least).

You can't use chapter select, to replay chapters that you have died on. This is from a q&a I found on reddit. 2.The one for not dying is the hard one, the other one comes for free when you complete this one. I’m sorry to inform that you have to complete the game with no deaths for either Lana or Mui, getting caught by the Village Chef in the beginning counts as dying. You can’t go back and replay a chapter you already died in, but this might be something we can consider to change if a lot of people think this is too hard. We wanted to create a challenge with this achievement.

Fantastic game, but no death runs are a huge pain and generally not worth the time unless you are OCD about the 100% / Platinum.
