I've been watching your videos for awhile now, but what made me finally subscribe is this is the second time I've heard you acknowledge the political tension around certain styles of architecture. And I really appreciate that you don't shy away from the controversy in certain styles you've used. I feel like that allows people to simply appreciate a specific aesthetic, without feeling like enjoying the look of a building implies that they agree with or support the oppression or controversy surrounding it. Your builds are stunning, of course, but the fact that you acknowledge that makes it even better

While y'all spamming 500 AWD on the Market, your boi Silv already took the workshop by storm by loan spamming and making stunning blueprints. I can already see you cower when hearing his evil laughter as he watches your franchises get wiped in 10 days, while assumes absolute dominion over the steam workshop, his blueprints and 5 star ratings fully intact. I researched British Colonial Africa and created an entire African area with a mixture of African and British architecture style. Lots of flat roofs with open patio and balconies which makes sense due to the hot environment. These buildings that you made are beautiful and I love the mixture of culture.

I don't think so - the overall engine updates for graphics and weather changes are pretty substantial, and animal mechanics would've surely overblown PlanCo, the management is pretty deep (unlike planco's very superficial management...)

Wow, this collection is awesome! How long did it take to research all of this? Because you build at the franchise map, and there is no india theme and all of the sculptures aren't there too, so you have to research all of them. But you are the one who made awesome buildings and not making a whole Zoo, so it is an amazing video as always!
@Silvarret5 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Research takes only about a few minutes at most I think, you just have to keep a watchful eye and make sure the mechanics keep researching, otherwise they stop every time and you never actually the new themes.

great builds-- and a cool little history lesson too! weird to think about architecture acting as like... a mass media the same way movies do today. architecture as propaganda. history is neat.

The biggest problem with the Indian theme in this game is that the default color is often reddish sandstone than white….I guess they’re more interested in the Red Fort vibe than Taj Mahal vibe

I really wish that channels would talk about the colonial histories of zoos and how this game deals with that. Zoo's are extremely political and have a vast colonial legacy so it's really natural to bring that up.
@Silvarret5 жыл бұрын
You're absolutely right. The same goes for museums, too - and zoos have the added ethical baggage of being essentially animal prisons. Not sure how many people want to consider this in a video game, but I may well cover it in videos eventually!
@nn64045 жыл бұрын
@@Silvarret I mean. If we look at European and US history, zoo's were also a method for imprisoning and displaying humans too. Which is a whole other dynamic that I think exposes the implications of a zoo. Even beyond animal captivity, I think it says a lot about how we treat people and cultures as well. You know. Exoticism and all that jazz.

Maybe its because they patched it recently? But I've built 2 zoos. One went bankrupt because zoo keepers don't know how to feed Taipirs if food enrichment items are in it and they all died, and the other is consistently making a steady profit and I'm making plenty of money
@hackdotx40605 жыл бұрын
Franchise is so frustrating. You can't even play because you're constantly selling animals due to the breeding rate. It's easier to just get all male animals and then pause when you have a bunch of money and just build blue prints lol. Edit: Nice building btw!

When I try to build anything and copy around for walls, my grip size keeps changing from 4 to 2 and somehow goes completely off grid and messing everything up... it is SO frustrating. I have the same issue! You may notice me during the timelapse entering and leaving buildings again and again to reset the grid. I have the colour issue to, do I keep copying colour codes :/ it's still a beta, I suppose. Remember to submit the issues to get them Frontier's attention for sure!
