Hi, greetings from indonesia and this pack has huge influence from my country. 3:30 the red big flower is rafflesia arnoldi, we call it "bunga bangkai" or corpse lily. 6:03 building with palm fiber roof and multiple roof is traditional architecture from Bali, you can search "Pura Besakih" or Besakih temple. the pointy roof is "rumah Gadang" or Gadang house from Sumatera snake shape like statue is "naga Jawa" or Javanese dragon from Yogyakarta 10:05 we call it "nyambik" it's pretty normal in here, actually they live in our sewer, helping us hunting rats and egg snakes ^^ and yeah agree, Indonesia has more than 50000 species, so they can add more animals. I want they add actual Cendrawasih or you can call it bird of paradise. 11:40 red brick fence with stones on it is inspired by ancient "Majapahit architecture" 13:21 U shape roof building is "Tongkon" traditional settlement from Toraja

Realistically speaking, walkthrough exhibits for Sloths is the only thing that makes sense. I've worked with a Two-Toed Sloth before (who sadly died last week) so believe me...they don't do squat compared to most animals. Even if they were habitat animals you really shouldn't expect them to do much. I mean, they can crawl and swim, but generally only do that when they need to, not want to. Anyways exciting news. They're finally adding some animals I've actually worked with irl for the first time since the Europe Pack. The Fossa and Gibbon... although we referred to the as White-Handed Gibbons

I'm kinda torn on this pack. We've already had a largely Jungle themed pack before though I do think the new architecture does look different enough. I'm excited for the fossa and red river hog. Curious about the sloth. Could take or leave the gibbon since we already have one, but more variety is always welcome. The water monitor i do feel is kind of a waste of a slot though. I feel like most people who want a massive lizard will just gravitate to the Komodo dragon. Especially since they're both Asian monitor lizards. I feel like a better large tropical lizard would have been something like the Grand Cayman Blue Iguana.
@jessesarrazin8713 Жыл бұрын
Excited but - quite sad no tree kangaroos as they are my favorites :) The sloth makes sense as a walkthrough as they don't do much - you can make it work if you decorate like the bats and can make the area lush. I'm actually more pumped for the scenery pieces.

STOKED for the Sloth, and i'm totally fine with it being a walkthrough exhibit. That actually makes sense since it would take them about 30 in game years to get anywhere in a built habitat. The Gibbon is great as I know it was highly wanted, plus it's brachial! Fossa and Red River hog are cool and wanted, so I'm okay with them taking those slots. The monitor is... predictable: Frontier wanted to round out the pack with another "cheap" reskin, but it does at least provide a couple semi "box checks" with the aquatic and the reptile, although I think I would have preferred a Marine Iguana since they are differently colored (blue), but also active swimmers. I thought this would have been a great pack to add (as much as I hate nope ropes) something like an emerald tree boa or some other vivid colored snake as there are quite a plenty of them irl in the tropics. At this point in development, though, I don't think we're going to be getting anymore aquatic species... at least not in the sense that the community would want. They'll likely be reskins for crocodilians and stuff. And that saddens me as there are still plenty of cool species that need to be represented, even exhibit wise. The only way I could see those coming to the game is if they did a MEGA "Exhibit" pack with aquatic, aviary, and land based exhibit animals being added (and an aquatic walkthrough habitat tunnel). This could be possible, especially because we have 52 open spots and likely only 3 more packs, so like a sendoff exhibit pack could be like 40 exhibit species and that's it for the pack. If they do not provide more bird species (land based OR walkthrough flutter birds), though, I'm going to want to know WHY THE F*** is Frontier so anti-bird, they are dinosaur ancestors: respect your elders, Frontier! LMAO

In Vogelpark Walsrode the Sloth habitat is "walktrough" or more like you can walk around it and look at them from up close - never saw a Sloth from so close, it's amazing. And it is right next to (same building as) the butterfly house. I'd love to build actual habitats for Sloths but they just don't do much anyway. At least not during daytime when guests are there. So getting them as a walkthrough exhibit aninmal is better that not getting them at all. Still I was hoping for our first type of small birds in a walkthrough exhibit, lorikeets or parakeets or something like that.

A sloth and the nepenthes pitcher plants alone? I'm in. I hope we see our siamangs and ornags brachiating on these vines. I feel like some aviary species will be walk through, and the new meta will be how to puzzle your walkthroughs into one large house.

Speaking about the animals: The Lar Gibbon and the Fossa are perfect aditions to the game. And the Red River Hog for me as well... Honestly, I know the hype is strong but, I'm not sure, I don't think it'd be remembered so well considering it reallu has no reason to be a scenery pack, Im a builder and the value of animals is much greater in my eyes, When I saw the sloth I was super hyped this might be an animal pack, A tropical pack just doesn't scream scenery, I don't know, It might change in a few months, The theme doesn't fit most of the animals it is south east asian themed but has only 2 asian animals, Again I don't buy the arguement of "Buildera need new pieces" after 9 scenery packs but IDK, Am I excited? @Thunderyena Жыл бұрын
'monkey' actually isn't a specific scientific term, it's not technically incorrect to refer to apes as monkeys. 'monkey' can refer to any simian. though there's no reason not to just call them 'apes' since ape is more specific.

Here is my animal review: Fossa 10/10 - Very needed and it should have completely new animations, It looks like a cat but is completely different behaviorly, Also it the madagascaran apex predator so that's cool! Red River Hog 9/10 - This is a highly requested animal and im happy it makes an apearence! Also it can co live with Gorillas Lar Gibbon 6.5/10 - Really not needed since we have the Siamang which is another type of gibbon that is much more vocal, Interesting thing though lar gibbons can have 9 different colors from pink, brown, cream, blonde to black, It's just a species that would have been better replaced with a more deserving one Asian Water Monitor 2/10 - It will be beautiful like frontier does their reptiles but it is really unnecesery, And is kind of a clone animal Brown Throated Sloth ? - Idk a Sloth is easily the most requested animal for this game since forever really, But it being a walkthrough exhibit is weird... Butterflies and Bats are classic walkthrough exhibit animals, Never have I beed to a zoo that allows walking through it's sloth habitat, Also now it won't be able to be mixed with other species in habitat, And it's really weird since the Koala fills such a simillar role as it

I actually suspected sloths might become a walkthrough exhibit animal. Unlike any other animal in the game, sloths are practically EXCLUSIVELY arboreal; they spend their whole lives in trees and if they're on the ground, something is wrong. This kinda messes with the mechanics of habitat animals in the game, because even species who barely ever touch the ground, like orangutans, koalas and siamangs (or indeed lar gibbons) still do sometimes go for a terrestrial walk. Sloths do not. I think it's a creative solution and also, most zoos I've been to that have sloths, if not all of them, kept them in a walkthrough-type habitat, so it's pretty realistic in that regard. I do hope they add cute interactive animations with guests though.

Well what can I say. I guessed that it would be a tropical pack. Although I thought it would be an animal pack, since we already have several sets of decorations related to the jungle: South America, Asia, India. In general, the architecture shown in the trailer, I associate with Thailand. I am very glad that a new gibbon has appeared, there are still few monkeys in the game, I really hope for a couple more species. Maybe even another gorilla, mountain or river. As for the exposition animal, I was mistaken, to be honest, I thought there would be hummingbirds or some small parrots. But if you think about it - the decision with the sloth is not devoid of logic, in real life they are very inactive guys.
