To be honest it will take a few shots to completley destroy a ship the only reason it one shots everything in colony lost is because jack puts warheads and after it shoots he blows the whole thing up

A way to limit how OP it is is either limit how fast it can rotate. Make it so it can’t rotate while firing (so you have to be more accurate when firing at capital ship engines and harder to shoot fighters.) and so that it does have some protection from fighters, have smaller machine guns around it to ward off the fighters.

you forgot nova cannon and T4 gatling guns which apparently weren't already op enough so they buffed them to 150 dph and 60 shots a second, totalling in at 9000 dps, thats 3x as much as what it was before

actually . Hey Jack. You ever seen an Onager MAC. In halo they use them as planetary defenses. Look up onager mac halo reach and youll see what I mean. The drones have the lasers and the RWI has the MAC technology.

Greetings from Russia. Take videos with shooting at targets in orbit of the planet, that is, at targets not in direct line of sight. You can also call friends and arrange shooting with a whole battery against gamers on ships in orbit.

just remember... its not Ultimate Destruction untill a ship fires at least 3 super lasers at once.... "ive done so already, sadly need to rebuild design as last computer died.. was 11 years old though.. i expected it to die years ago..."..." also.. trying to fire 96x4 small ship gats as a broadsides attack did more to hurt that comp than the super lasers....5 min frozen after a 3 second burst from the gats..."

That laser would do more damage if you kept I focused on a single point instead of waving around so that way the laser would penetrate the armor and do more damage to internals

​@@retardwrangler8822 Yes, it could look so good. Imagine hanger doors that open and then it extends out and can fire 360 and then retract back into the hull. Though, I think the gun would be so big it needs its own specialized ship for it. Also as a side note, could you imagine how cool ship fights would be if the Jump Drive explosion mod was built into the game? Even the one on the laser weapon could be like a critical spot and causes it to violently explode.

Jack, just a heads up but the laser can actually cut through terrain as well and make a excellent tunnel. I built 2 in my survival game. Just the "atlas laser" and used them to run a long conveyor underground through a mountain.

Here's a possible set piece for these, a fighter raid. RWI detects a GDA shipyard on the lava planet and sensing opportunity, decide to bomb it. Trouble is, it's covered by both these Orbital Defence Lasers and a myriad of other anti ship weapons. Using a fleet of fighters, you have to take out enough of the yard's defences on a time limit so the bombing run can do the maximum amount of damage possible.
