@@Archris17 Weird hill to die on my guy. A weapon of mass destruction is defined as a weapon that *can* cause harm to a great number of people, doesn't matter whether or not it *does*, just having the potential can classify it as one. Erusea using Stonehenge to maintain air supremacy across over half of the Usean continent by destroying a high number of ISAF aircraft (to the point where the ISAF got pushed back all the way to North Point) with airburst shots would place it firmly in that category. It's like saying the V2 wasn't a weapon of mass destruction because it never killed anyone.
@Archris172 ай бұрын
@@Mobius_118 No, a weapon of mass destruction has a _very specific_ meaning and a weapon that is incapable of firing at civilian targets does NOT fall under that category. Just because a weapon can kill more than a couple of people at once does NOT make it a WMD. According to the United Nations Office of Disarmament Affairs, a WMD is specifically a nuclear, radiological, chemical or biological weapon with destructive power comparable to an atomic bomb. Airbursting anti-air munitions are very explicitly NOT WMDs and again, could not be used to target civilian targets. As someone who grew up on AC4 and has just recently been looking deeper into Ace Combat lore, this is sick! I love the illustrations, I've been progressing through the story recently and I was wondering why a large portion of Farbanti was sunken, well I knew about Ulysses but not that part of Stonehenge had failed, thus leaving that asteroid to strike, so that's pretty tragic.. anyways, great video! I hope to get some other Ace Combat games eventually, preferably Zero and 5 of course

8:39 i was just a child when the stars fell from the skies. but i remember how they build a cannon to destroy them. and in turn how that cannon brought war upon us. war was an abstract idea, nothing more than a show on tv. as a child i only was it as something that happened in some far away land... until that final day in the summer... one day while on my way to school, looked up into the skies. it sounded like distant thunder... in the blue skies far above me, contrails drew dizzying circles around in a crazy walts. a battle in the beautiful skies far away... i could not tear my gaze away from them water noises su-37 fly by and then a sharp silhouettes appeared, as if to graze the hills and streaked past me the fighters played a cat or the mouse in turned (1 circle battle) as they climbed swiftly into the sky. onle fleeing plane fell out of the skies, spiraling and spewing orange flames to crash by the cape. the same cape where my family lived.* more water noises* now they only live in my memories of the days past. the victor circled around to confirm the kill. and on his craft..... there was a large number 13 emblazoned in yellow. i will never forget this.

We need a TV series about this Ace Combat History stuff.
5:30 Who knew that, with a little music, hand drawn cartoons could be SO dramatic?
@Darkwings014 жыл бұрын
I think the most terrifying thing about this is the fact how easily this could be us. If anything this history could become us down the line since we have almost no known way of dealing with foreign objects entering our atmo. We have even had a few close calls if I am remembering right, but still, its scary to think about what could happen to our planet in this kind of situation.
@aoki6332 Жыл бұрын
nah we never got a truly close call the closet of these "close call" was like double the distance of earth and the moon its just that people love sensationalism and saying ASTEROID IN A CLOSE TRAJECTORY TO EARTH sell more than Asteroid passing at 700000Kmh of earth

That cannon really had it out for Erusea. First it failed to defend Farbanti, then it proved pivotal to halt their invasion of the continent.
