These are some examples of planetary images taken with the ZWO ASI224MC camera. Despite being an entry-level camera, it is an excellent option for smaller telescopes, as it has large pixels and allows working with higher magnification and focal ratio.

Estes são alguns exemplos de imagens planetárias feitas com a câmera ZWO ASI224MC. Apesar de ser uma câmera de entrada, é uma excelente opção para telescópios menores, pois possui pixels grandes e permite trabalhar com maior ampliação e razão focal.

Hello! I own a SkyWatcher 10" Dobsonian FlexTube with manual tracking and I'm considering purchasing either the ZWO ASI 178MC or ASI 224MC for planetary and lunar imaging. Do you think the ASI 178MC is a good choice, or should I opt for the ASI 224MC?

Hi! I did use the 178MC and the results were worst than the 224MC. With manual tracking a faster FPS and is better. At 1200mm focal lenght using a 2x or 3x barlow you will need a larger pixel size to be able to deal with the F15 focal ratio, what makes the scope very slow. For lunar the 678MC is the best camera I ever used. Unfortunatelly there is no one do it all camera using a dobsonian. If I had to pick only one, I will pick the 224MC. Hope I could help you! Great images! So i have a meade etx 125 and a william optics Z61 and i purchased the 224 as my first camera besides my nikon D5600 will the meade etx 125 do fairly well with the 224 as well as my WO Z61?

Depende do objeto, do telescópio ou lente. A 178MC é mais indicada para lunar e solar.

O sensor é pequeno demais e não tem full-well capacity pra lidar com DSO. É possível, mas os resultados não serão bons.

Hi, i have a 10" Skywatcher flextube. Would you recommend the 224mc for that also? or is there another camera that is a little more expensive but much better for planets? thank you

Hi, I have the 10" too, the 224MC is petfect for it. If yours is the non Goto model like mine you will need the faster camera available. The 224MC is the fastest followed by the 462MC. Thanks for your support!

So the max FPS won't be a problem. The 462MC and 662MC will do a good job. The 585MC is more expensive with the same pixel size than 462MC and 662MC. The ROI for planetary image is so small. It seems an overkill only for planetary image but you can use it as a DSO camera too.
