Basic overview of the factions TR= Deadly in numbers, but usually on defense in most servers. In terms of population, small but many light troops and heavies. Don't get me wrong though, they are a fighting force that barely give land. NC= Mega over populated. Mostly noobs but shear numbers in there favor usually turn the tides. On the server I play on 40% of the population is NC VS= Sadly unpopular. Most people on it are just bad@$$es though. They are good in small numbers and if they can arrange themselves they own.

Sounds like you are describing Connery prior to the continent locking update. NC lose most alerts now, just aren't organized enough to put up with the Vanu. TR are still as you say "defensive".

Johnny Buttsecks Nah, I'm talking about Matterson and Connery both before the merge into Emerald. But I've played on some EU servers and it seems to be about the same. Now after the merge though, the TR are minority (which sucks, I'm TR) Vanu are usually tied with the NC with population, and (funnily enough) TR usually own the most land.

The character that you make for that faction will always be that faction, but you can make multiple characters. Battles are all for territory, you capture facilities (territory) by turning control points in that facility to your team, giving you influence. to be fair, the same could be said about people who play NC. The only thing they have going for them is the whole "freedom" thing and I would say people who choose that are more basic. They see "freedom" and they instantly think to themselves "i'm murican, I must play as this faction and fight the bad guys" when really, that's all they have. VS has good looking weaponry, good looking aircraft, good looking cosmetics, the best accuracy and their tank can climb mountains. Even TR has probably the best helmets in game and their AVA Armour is just too badass. "NC: freedom and guns, armour and weapons that look like cereal boxes. I guess you can look at them in a revolutionary war stand of view- The TR being the British, being very well organized and equipped (They're also red). The NC being American getting there hands on any equipment they can find and trying to rebel against the TR. The VS being the french(maybe?) I'm not British, mate ;) And you did win, correct. Against a small contingent, led by relatively incompetent generals, all the good generals of the region having already joined the American Revolution, such as George Washington. The French and Spanish were also supporting you with weapons and ships, along with Prussian and British generals training your troops to perhaps be able to stand against the British soldiers. Beating the British is an achievement, but they were busy on other fronts ;)

the coloration on the soldiers here looks alot more believable than what is represented in game. There isn't alot of goofy bright colors except on the vanu light assault, which IMO makes the characters look much better. Though you might not be able to tell the difference between the NC and the TR here based on coloration, they still have distinctive looks about them.

Actually, i kept dying by TR when i was on NC, but when i joined the TR, their guns, where so powerfull, high accuracy, fast fire rate, high mags, tones of damage. Its like NC guns would loose in a 1 2 1 with TR guns. I had so much joy when playing on the TR, more people spoke english on that faction, too many germans where on the NC in the server i was on, meaning less communication, more organisation in TR and more friendly people, and less kids on that faction. NC would just stand there.

I can understand why TR and NC fight, but I don't see why VS and NC unite to take down TR. VS wants to embrace Vanu and discover ancient artifacts, and NC want to either be free of TR rule, or get a paycheck. Their goals don't overlap, so they should be able to work together, as if they defeat TR, VS can excavate for artifacts, and NC can create an ideal society on Auraxis.

MidnightStorm depends on servers ,situations and people in charge ,on my Russian server ,TR was so far away from battles that everyone created a meme "TR can't do anything" until in all of a sudden TR made a huge "Controlled Zerg-like rush" and almost beated the crap of both NC and VS until those decided to unite and hold the last fortress together ,so ,TR won most of the territory ,but now NC and VS sometimes working together and TR making a huge attack operations ,literally cornering NC and VS and then goes into a peaceful stuff with training .

And once again you are correct, it was because he was a former British general and so used British tactics, but he fought the British, as you said, by their own rules, with less disciplined soldiers and militia than them. See, that's really the interesting thing about this game. When you get right down to it, TR just wants to maintain order, NC wants to be free from some of the stricter regulations of the TR, and VS wants to focus on advancing the human race. There really are no "bad guys," just different groups of people, with different beliefs. The really crazy thing is when you think about it, that's sort of what real war is like.

i love how they describe the terran republic as fast hitters. meanwhile their main battle tanks has 2 barrels and pretty much the same armor as other main battle tanks. now to me that doesnt really sound fast, nor does having a chaingun for your infantry sound fast either. maybe they should change the faction descriptions to "we were going to make them like this but it didn't happen."

I think conventional firearms jam a lot more easily than a charged plasma burst from a powercore battery. And the impact and explosions are thousands of degrees hotter pretty much melting away anything, The blue/green flames emitted from the explosions/impacts show this.

I just picked NC cuz they remind me most of modern military, the colors, the weapons, and the modern looking Abraham tank vanguard. I see TR as government and Vanu as Technology based military

Actually both bombs were dropped very close after one another and the dropping of the bomb saved possibly millions of lives. A lot of people don't know this but the U.S. was preparing for a land invasion to take over all of Japan. All lot more lives would have been lost on both sides if this had happened. The U.S. opted for the bombs hoping that it would reduce casualties and end the war. Realistically it was nice that they dropped only two bombs. They dropped only two (consciously not the ones

I'm more of the Authoritarian, red, black guy myself, believing in strict discipline, but even I must admit, however, that I envy the NC when it comes to their Vanguard main battle tank. I've also heard a lot of negative about NC's guns, but admittedly, OP or UP, they have the best 'feel' to it. Like you're holding a real beast!

Have you read the lore? The TR functions perfectly well on Earth, all countries united under one banner, living in peace through security and standardised government. The TR of Auraxis is only going to extremes to deal with extenuating circumstances. They installed curfews and tariffs, etc, to deal with being isolated from Earth and as a consequence of terrorist attacks on civilian colonist ships. Greed and lust for power is not involved, they are after security through authority.
