too country not true. It lacks the ammo capacity for its damage and it's reload speed is much longer than the t9 carv. The veteran player who killed you with the watchman knows how to make the most out of it.

I've seen some NC and VS mains suggest that the stats for the Watchman make it OP. It seems pretty clear that it's got some serious handicaps, significant damage drop off, limited mag size given the ROD, long reload times, and limited ammunition pool. Seems it might excel in a couple areas, and is useful for certain things, but beyond that it'll be outclassed by other guns in the TR arsenal.

Spot on. There's only one other recommendation I'd make: Put in the certification points and requisition a reflex sight from your quartermaster ASAP. (Be sure to fill out form TR-QM-532-B in triplicate and submit it to your immediate superior.) The Watchman is a capable firearm that can shine in the right situations, but the ironsights are... not spectacular.

Nope, I'm sticking to my Mini Chaingun. It has the highest "Dakka per minute" and "amount of Dakka" and is therefore the best gun always.

Your points made at the end are the exact reasons why I opt for the ammo extension over nanoweave. Having that extra life span is great and all, but what's the point if you run out of ammo? With the fully upgraded ammo extension, I can have 200 in a T-16's extended mag and *700* in my fucking reserves. If a fellow Terran is noticing that ammo storage is quickly becoming an issue more so than life expectancy, I highly recommend that he/she consider the ammo belt.

Not everyone runs ammo printer, there's lots of Implants to choose from. I personally run ammo printer with this class because while you might not run out of dakka, why even run the chance?

I've found the Jackal to be interesting, the only attachment that's really useful is the Advanced Laser sight. The suppressor drops the muzzle velocity down to under 200 per second. People can almost dodge them like Neo in the Matrix at that speed. And the BX adapter is stupid. It basically gives the Jackal an underbarrel shotgun that sucks more than a normal underbarrel shotgun. Beyond that, it's useable in a medium range environment, with such a low rate of fire, it's outclassed by many other SMG's for CQC. You'll need to land every round to take advantage of that increased damage per bullet, otherwise you'll find yourself outclassed by other SMG's out there. But, the Jackal does look great. But if you're out in the open, juking like a mofo out in the open at a medium range, that Advanced Laser Sight will make your hip fire a laserbeam.

Welcome to the essence of TR - Oh, you wanted to enjoy the fruits of a faction who's ethos is BUILT around high-ROF? Screw you, have some burst-or-die weapons instead. Pretty damn sad imo. how the mechanics of the game force you down such a road. It's ironic this makes the T9-Carv and MSW-R the two most reliable LMG's in the arsenal, and you start off with one of them. I've tried the Watchman, an so far in my experience it's unreliable as a direct-attack weapon, I tend to lose gun-fights with people where even a Bull would have won me the engagement. Don't even get me started on the reload times and total ammo cap, it seems to me the devs were terrified this gun might be anything but a side-gimmick.

dont waste your time/certs on the promise until it gets a buff you get a slight decrease in bloom that allows for longer tap firing for the lowest dps in the game the em1 is better in every way and the em6 is also better and the gauss saw is better for range by far other than that only special thing about it is the larger mag size mod is in the ammo slot and not the rail but costs a almost unnoticeable amount extra in reload time but you only gain 50 rounds

In CQC the higher DPS means the promise wins over the EM1. At range, the lack of bloom per shot helps it outclass the EM1. I agree that the EM6 is better. And of course the anchor and saw are better, but the promise isn't a bad gun. Sitting on 35% accuracy and 49% HSR with it right now. ZialNC.

I always want to invite my friends to join me but it either takes to long to etc add each other and other things. Hmm. Well for friends make sure you type /friend to add them to your friends list, then you should be able to easily find them in your social tab. For the support role. Get your medic. Max out the Medic tool and the nano regen device, and bring grenade bandolier with revive grenades. Happy hunting!

I like the watchman just for the different look of the weapon. As for a comparison of all the lmgs, the promise I feel is the best lmg released based on how it differs from the other NC lmgs. The watchman just feels like other tr lmgs. I perfer for bull for all situations, and the t9 carv is still bae in cqb. I hear alot of people complaining about the maw's recoil, but I don't have experience with it so I can't say for myself. The watchman feels like a novelty weapon, and the muzzle velocity feels sluggish with soft point ammo. Best setup I have is vert grip, 2x scope, flash suppressor, and no ammo attachments. If you can land headshots, which I will say I can do consistently, this gun melts people. If you just want a fun change of pace weapon. I think the mini chain gun is a better option, mostly cause reload is so much faster.

VS got better Anchor, NC got Carv-s with identity crisis and TR got absolute bullet hose. If you are at least decent with MSW-R you will make this weapon shine.

If you have the eclipse directive carbine for the Vanu you should do a review of it! I find that having unlimited ammo works great when combined with nano-weave and the auxiliary shield and can make my light assault an absolute menace. The only downside is that it can’t be suppressed :(

only heatmechanics weapon that are wurff to play is battlegoose and feizshit ... the rest are not updated and have some issues (eclipse has only 26 bullets till it overheat ). Only good thing is that u can pick out fast your commi to shoot while the weapon cooldown in your pocket :D

Using slugs is a hi skill play style. If you can effectively aim with it, that is a killer combo. But you miss one shot and you lose the engagement generally.

thanks ive already tried it with a pump shotgun before but didn't like the slow fire rate so i wanted to use it on something with a bit more fire rate

must disagree , since the slug only provide a short burst of dmg but the rechamber time or better to say till you shoot the second shot takes to long so every other gun outdps you and DPS is everything when u considering close/midrange fights and on longrange the slug has to big dmg fallof... you will do a better job with a dedicatet DMR or longrange high dmg slow firing weapon.. Baron still firing to slow to compete with any gun dps whise in close combat :D just use shotgun with standart ammo unless u have a the pump-shotgun variants, there u can sometimes oneshot people with a good slug shot but against multiple enemys it sucks :D so ye stay with your assault weapon or smg or get a full auto shotgun with high fire rate with normal ammo

i already got it and its actualy pretty good at medium/close ranges if you can quickly hit shots like i can, i found myself getting lots of kills with it unless it was a very large group of enemys

The watchman pisses me off so much, I don’t think it’s balanced compared to the new LMG I’ve been using on the VS. If the gun did less damage, I would be perfectly fine with it. It has a ridiculous time to kill.

You can complete directives which do have some weapon and gear rewards. But most things are unlocked through certs or daybreak cash.
