I stayed at a Hilton in Bristol a three of weeks ago, in a disabled access room. The walk in shower had missing panels, so, the shower sprayed water on to the floor, which meant I had to use bath towel to mop up the water, before I could walk out of the shower cubical. To be clear, Harry and his wife, did not take a 7 car convoy to go 200 yds. The 7 car convoy went around the block to get to the venue (the street was a one-way going the wrong way) so they drove about 3 city blocks to get to their destination. Why they couldn’t simply walk with their body guards in tow is another question. After all, it appears that nobody knew or cared that they were in New York.

It wasn't 200 yards, it was 200 ft. or 66.6 yards. The hotel was next door to the venue where they were to speak and could have walked in a few minutes. Instead they were around the block. They are delusional to think that they require that much security. There are far more famous and wealthy people who walk on the streets of New York every day. There were no fans greeting them to protect them from. Most people wouldn't cross the street to see them.

The £20 coin story reminds me of a similar occurrence here in Minneapolis. When a man tried to pay for his McDonald’s coffee with a $2 bill, the ignorant server questioned the legality of the bill and called his manager, who confirmed it was counterfeit, then called the police. When a policeman arrived and the McDonald’s employees explained the situation to him , he asked, “So what’s the problem?” Although $2 bills are rare, they are still available in the US. I keep a few on hand for any time I feel like calling out an idiot or two.

From New York, I can say that Kevin is the epitome of the grizzled journalist -- but by the end of the program, even Isabel (the winner this week) seemed downright exhausted, as did the rest of the panel. There's a point to be made there, but I've forgotten what it is. Meanwhile: mostly peaceful protests in Times Square as pro-Palestinian and pro-Israel groups shouted at each other, while most New Yorkers went into fear mode expecting a subway bombing or shoot out here in town in the days, weeks, and months ahead. end

I have to admit, when the Republic of Ireland banned cigarette smoking, the number of people who stopped smoking definitely increased. Unlike other substances, passive smoking does affect people who do not smoke. This is the reason that makes smoking different to other substances like food, alcohol etc

I think those who work in A & E, the police, social work the probation service etc will all disagree with you. The most dangerous drug on the planet is alcohol. It causes more injuries - both physical & mental, and is involved in more deaths than smoking cigarettes, and all other drugs. It causes more family issues than all the cigarettes in the world. More domestic abuse. More child abuse. Unprovoked attacks of all kinds. It costs this country an absolute forunes - far more than all other drugs added together.
