I'm disabled and all this diversity crap doesn't cover us. Diversity seems to be used as synonym for "race" etc. True diversity is like an orchestra, there are lots of voices. We all deserve to be listened to.

Exactly. I’m disabled myself and can see how all this “diversity” stuff is causing division. Diversity basically means race and gender, never hear disability mentioned within the “diversity” parameters. Example is footballers taking the knee, keeping on about race, gender LGBT and now playing with rainbow footballs, yet I’ve never once heard any footballer or club making statements or gestures for disabled people. They have more rights than us now and it makes me sick and is why I keep away from such people now as I can feel the division being caused between us and them. Ask yourself, how many disabled people do you see in tv adverts compared to other minority groups that swell them these days, it’s just disingenuous box ticking and disabled people like us can see straight through it and is why it’s causing division

That poor disabled woman having to struggle on her own. To be honest, I can see why no one came to help. There are so many laws, safeguarding people these days. That even if she had agreed to help, she could possibly make an accusation that she was touched inappropriately in the process of someone trying to help. People have been made afraid. We have had all empathy kicked out of us. It is very sad. 😢

on the woman with disablities that is disgraceful. there's a bloke who lives near me with disabilities and he told me the nearby shopping centre has the lifts out of order on a regular basis. this is in the UK but they have to get engineers in from germany to fix them, which takes a couple of weeks. the so-called support for disabled people is a joke.

Here’s a tip for anyone who wants free accommodation in Manhattan. Fly to Canada walk across the border, and claim asylum from the diabolical machinations of Sadiq Khan. Our northern border is much longer than the Mexican border, very poorly patrolled, and much closer to New York. I, for one, would love to see an influx of Brits to counteract the people being cleaned out of foreign prisons we are currently “welcoming”.

For his fortieth birthday my son, happily working in his native South Africa, was given a present of a trip to the USA to visit his brother who lived there with his American wife. He was denied a visa because it was presumed that he would try to stay in America illegally. He has never been able to see his brother's home and surroundings. Ramps should available for any area that is used by people with disabilities. There was someone at the top of the stairs who I assume was helping her and had taken the chair up the stairs. Allowing her to navigate the stairs herself was the right thing to do for her safety and the safety of the helper. Ramps are the answer as they are not going to break down.
