Much as I enjoy this show, it depresses the hell out of me. I've lived long enough to watch all the things we once held in esteem, and that made us the envy of so much of the 'free' world, be systematically dismantled and destroyed for ludicrous unrealistic ideology. I can only hope that I live long enough to see the world finally come back to its senses... but it's a slim hope.

Rafe, the most beautiful Catholic music is usually nuns/sisters. I was honored to have the Ursuline Sisters provide the music for our wedding 28 years ago. People still comment on how beautiful it was. one of it was the usual things you hear, they came to me with such beautiful recommendations. Other sisters provided instrumental accompaniment.

Americans loved Mrs. Thatcher back in the day. I saw her as a role model as a young woman. I was in high school and college in those days, and I would look at the UK and see Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and Mrs. Thatcher. We di n't have that in America.

Mike, Ironically ROGER DALTREY has his TEENAGE CANCER TRUST concert tomorrow at The Royal Albert Hall. As you know he has raised millions for the Cancer trust and continues to work tirelessly for the fund with his merry band of musicians. Could you and KEVIN have him on your show and interview him? It would be fantastic. His life is so interesting, ordinary working class lad from Acton, turned musician and actor also has a great sense of humour. Kevin would do a great interview. Mike he does the CANCER work without any fanfare and has helped thousands of younf adults, IT WOULD be a great show,.

Years ago when people asked me about my accent and I told them so am Israeli, they were rather enthusiastic about it. On the subject of algorythms .. platforms like youtube etc need to be reformed so they first Identify/label.. any live broadcast thats a Broadcast TV channel under the umbrella of the BBC ... then provide mechnisims to block those broadcasts and also write the algo to not automatically play or suggest any such "live" channel

I was around during the miners' strike, and, as a then Labour party activist, i helped collect donations for them here in London, so I understand your bitterness. But really it is misplaced as regards Thatcher. She has been sold by the Left as an evil old harridan, responsible for destroying the mining industry in Britain. The truth, however, is rather different. It is a fact that the Labour Party actually closed down more pits than the Thatcher ever did. Further, the miners Union were represented by Scargill, a man more interested In securing the 'glory' of bringing down a Tory government than with the best interests of miners. His intransigence, a determination to win at all costs, even in the face of those miners, desperate to start earning again, who wanted a settlement, ensured it ended as it did, with tragic consequences for the men involved. All except Scargill, who went on to retire on a very nice pension, his estimated worth being around 5 million today. I was and am desperately sorry for those involved, many of whom never recovered from the loss of their industry. But like it of not, Britain prior to Thatcher was on its knees, its economy at rock bottom, with widespread strikes across many industries having crippled the country. We were contemptuously referred to as the sick man of Europe. It was Thatcher, often using tactics I for one did not approve of, who restored this nation to health, turning around our economy, and giving us back a sense of national pride. Sadly today, all the main parties seem determined to break our country, exterminate any sense of pride in our nation, its history, and its indigenous population. We are being systematically destroyed from within. If only we had another Thatcher ready to come to our rescue.

I didn't like Thatcher's economic policies, and I still don't. I think the privatisation of the utilities in a country the geographical size of Idaho was a bad idea. I really resent paying large sums of money every year to a Chinese Hedge Fund or Australian bank which trades under the name of Thames Water, neglects its job description of keeping raw sewage out of the waterways and mending the broken pipes which lose thirty per cent of our clean water, and at the same time pays its executives gigantic sums of money. Bonuses! - For what? Her other sin was the complete lack of appreciation of manufacturing industry in this country.
