The comparison of the state and fate of the Amazon rain forest ... large, easy-to-see, with beautiful water-borne plankton unseen without microscopes ... is a good take-away for me. The concepts of scale and measurement come to mind, like the little red bar on the hardware-store white thermomometers that move so slowly. And the idea of social responsibility that begins with individuals. Well done, Tony! Thought-provoking as always!
