I can't (and wouldn't want to) imagine the situation of not having obtained the desired score in an exam (in this case, TEF/TCF). It is super important to give our best shot at the very first attempt itself in order to avoid the stress, self-doubts, anxiety of multiple attempts.

I understand your aim to achieve a perfect score on the first attempt, and I never said it’s impossible to do so. It just didn’t happen for me, and I know most people face similar challenges when they don’t succeed on their first try. It’s important to normalize the experience of multiple attempts and focus on learning and improving with each one. Everyone has their own pace and journey, and people should choose what works best for them. :)

@@teftalkswithakshuFair point. Though, some people get complacent in their first attempt, since they know that there's always another attempt. There are other factors too for below-par performance such as taking the test too soon, or lack of preparation due to other commitments in life. All in all, I've seen many taking the test for granted or living in a fool's world when it comes to the difficulty of the test.

Roughly, I spent about 4 hours a day easily and this includes classes and self study. However, when the exam was approaching, I used to spend about 6-7 hours a day to prepare. :)

@teftalkswithakshu I see....The FSI ( foreign service institute) for US diplomats puts 600 hours of lectures and 600 hours of self study for English speakers to reach French B2/C1. what do you think about that? I think you also must have put that amount of time over the whole year.
