You are definitely not alone! God already knows the prayers of our hearts and Holy Spirit will step in when we don't know what to say but I think God just wants us to show up ready for conversation and relationship ❤️ So I am trying to show up more consistently, with scriptures in hand.

It is right and good that we should thank God, but today I was thinking how when we THANK Him, we're being grateful for things He has given to US. When we PRAISE Him, however, it is all about HIM and I read recently that we can actually bless God with our praises! So I like to take Psalms 103 and where it says things like "I will praise the Lord," I switch it to "I will praise YOU, LORD," and pray these words to Him. LOVE your journal setup, too -- I am constantly feeling some kind of unrest with my journals and always looking for ANOTHER one, the "perfect" one, and when you said the Holy Spirit was saying "Nope! This isn't it" about your first setup, I thought maybe THAT'S what my unease with my setup is all about!! thank you for sharing your thoughts on this.

Annie, New to your channel. I found that the breaking down of the Lord’s prayer was just the best idea ever. I took a snapshot of all your pages of Categories with the lists of scriptures. It will mean much more to you if you look up and choose which verses you want to include yourself. Trust me-you will grow in your maturity in Christ from doing it yourself. My personal favorite “go to” to find verses in a particular topic is OpenBible. ❤️

How wonderful that you're so honest and open about your prayer life. Just by sharing, you’re helping so many people. I can only offer my thoughts without pretending to know it all. First of all: all prayer is good prayer. No one can judge your prayer, not even you yourself-that’s up to the Lord. The ego, which you refer to as Satan, is very sly. By making you doubt your prayers, it keeps you in your critical thinking mode (left-brain thinking), where you might focus more on the effort rather than the results. Even trying to jot down 'the answers of God' can be a way for the ego to lead you away from the small, still voice of God that only speaks in silence. It's in meditation, in the quiet, that we truly receive God's word: "In quiet, I receive God's word today." You are awesome, and God bless you. 💖

Very inspiring video! I use a similar system with a regular notebook. I tab sections of my notebook with promptings particular to my life situations. I read the scriptures with a question regarding my next steps for each situation. I always find that the Lord is in the details of my life. Thank you for sharing!

I love this. I have a lot of faith journals and prayer journals and SOAP study in a PP Weeks. I love the idea of the prayer Bible. I have been seeing them a lot lately. Annie, I found this very inspirational. I find it a bit intimidating when I pray over a group meal. I feel I'm not as eloquent as more experienced people who pray often. I love that you’re making a prayer Bible! I started one last year when I saw Sisterita Club’s video, but just like with the digital planner I started, I quit using it when my husband got hurt at work. It’s crazy how life seems to pull you away from the thing you need the most sometimes. I probably would have benefited greatly from my prayer Bible during those trying weeks and months! I love how you set yours up and I really love the idea of using the B6 Stalogy for a prayer journal too! I have loved using the Stalogy as a daily planner this past year so much that I have actually stuck with it for almost the full year now for the first time ever. So maybe it will keep me motivated as a prayer and Bible study journal too. I’m excited to give it a try and to pull my little prayer Bible back out! Thanks for the inspiration! Oh yeah, and prayer is really hard for me too. I used to get anxiety going to church when I was a kid because the Sunday School teacher would call on people to pray and I was terrified she would pick me!

Wow, I absolutely LOVE your setup. I came here searching for "how to create a bible journal" and it took me a few videos to get to yours but it was well worth the wait! I am only just starting my journal, as in - now, this minute. I've thought about it a lot but I didn't know how to start. I wanted something that would keep me coming back. I design and sell greeting cards so I'm artistic in nature and knew if I added some type of journaling to my bible study I would enjoy it more. I don't want something like your first attempt to happen to me, lol. I've already flipped to the back of my journal and written in the 10 prayer topics. I thought about pausing and copying your complete lists with the scriptures but then decided it would mean more if I filled them in with my own studies. I don't know how long it will be before I'm ready to create the prayer bible you made but I can absolutely see the value. Thank you so much!

I am glad that you shared this. Along with yourself, the same ladies who have inspires you have also been inspiring me to get back in the word and the hardest part for me is knowing what verses to pray over. I am curious to know the verses you have marked down, so that I can see how others read the scripture and take away from the word. As a Truck Driver, I dont have a church to call my home yet, but I would like to see if maybe I have aome common views or maybe have some misunderstandings. This is the Bible my husband got me. My tabs are a bit more scattered and are paper tabs with card stock between. Can’t undo them. But I love it! I am still working on adding more themes. Currently adding strength. I am doing mine similar to Jessica Jarris from the Sisterista Club. I’m just not a planner gal. I don’t have time for it. It’s fun to do if you have time. First time watching. Great video! I love journaling and taking notes when i study God's Word. One of my favorite apps to use is Olive Tree, you can use tags and annotations. There are different Bible versions, dictionaries and commentaries.

Thank you for all you said. God is working for you and thought you to build up his kingdom. I have the problem that I don’t know when to stop with my studying the Bible and journaling. I love to spend time with God and communicating with him in prayer and writing my thoughts and requests. And being able to look back and see how God answered. That is so powerful to see how he worked things out. One suggestion I have is write dates by your prayer requests. Just trust me on that one. It’s important. I wouldn’t go into a explanation. I really like that idea of the colour tags. I do that in my devotional books but not in my bible but I will start. I love that journal you have. May You find the answers your looking for in this season of life.

It is a bit bigger than you compact but I love the idea of having space to make notes about the scriptures (small notes). So far my categories are God’s Promises, Armour of God, Attributes of God, Fruit of the Spirit. I have just started. The potential is endless and I am excited to see where the Lord leads me.

Hello, excellent video. it gives me some ideas. I use the ValMarie paper planner since 2020 and I love it. It allows me to be intentional with my prayer every single day. I also bought last year the 5 year journal prayer from Hosanna revival shop. As you say, prayer can be difficult and I found it is easy for me to write my prayer. I also read these 2 books: Pray confidently and Consistently by Valerie Woerner and The hour that changes the world by Dick Eastman. Finally, as you have some interest for Notion. I suggest you to check a video from Nora Conrad who provides a free notion template which can be a good version to start your database in notion. Thanks again for sharing your process. I love it!

About the faith journal, when you finish a month, do you file it away and insert a new booklet to journal in?

My faith journal is a b6 Stalogy which has 365 pages so I can fit several months into this same notebook. When I start a new month I add a new monthly calendar and a tab to the first page of that month. Then I keep going with daily pages from there. I estimate I will probably get about 3-4 months in this one notebook. And when I finish this notebook I will definitely keep it, adding it to my shelf full of completed notebooks. I can't bring myself to throw any of them away ❤️
