Sunday is the first day because the Sabbath is Saturday. But the international standard is Monday. So both are correct, but business wise Monday makes the most sense. I love the idea of a reset.

In my brain, Monday is the first day because Sunday is the Sabbath… But I learned the days of the week with Sunday being said first… so when I was a kid it was always Sunday to me

Annie, thank you so much for sharing your detailed process and a look at your beautiful planners. This has helped me wrap my head around many steps in the planning process. I’ll be honest that it has also helped me finally decide that I personally need to go with a digital planning system. The idea of recreating pages and lists and writing the same things over and over makes me a little crazy! I will take your lovely ideas and create some templates in OneNote that I can easily copy, tweak, and reuse to copy forward tasks. That’s what’s beautiful about modern planning - everybody gets to design what is best for them. 😊 Thanks again!

I like that your to-do's that didn't get done get put back on the brain dump page instead of automatically onto the next week! Great tip!

Thank you so much for taking the time to share this awesome Sunday routine, I got some great ideas! I'd love to see how you utilize Google Calendar for your family. I'm always trying to find a balance between my Google Calendar (more collaborative) and paper planner, both are essential to me 😊

When I worked a 8-5 office job, my week started on Mondays. It was also easier to plan the weekend when Sat & Sun were side by side instead of on opposite sides of the page. ... Now that I'm home all the time I've switched to Sunday start. It reminds me that the Lord comes first. (After all, He gave me the job.) And everything I used to plan for the weekends I can spread out over the week. Sending lots of love 💖 from sunny 🌞 Arizona 🌵. 😷

Sunday is the first day of the week. The Hebrew name for the days is numerical, and the Portuguese re-adopted this partially, with the seventh day being Sabado, Sabbath and the first day being Domingo, referring to God. At some point in history, Christians were directed to celebrate/worship on “Sun“ day, and we can speculate as to why pagan leaders liked that idea, the day that they set aside to worship the sun. But from the ancient of all days, Sabbath (Which the pagans called Saturday in honor of the god Saturn), is the seventh day of the week. It wasn’t that long ago that people worked Monday through Saturday, and we’re off on Sunday. The 40 hour work week changed the work week to Monday through Friday for most people. that’s why most people I feel that Monday is the first day of the week. We have been trained to be good little workers! This was actually a major goal of public education during the industrial revolution.… Create “good citizens, a good workforce.“ But whether you think of your planning day as the last day of the week or the first, Sunday is often a relatively quiet day and very suited to a reset. Equally, you can mentally do a reset on Saturday, as you reflect on the past and the future, and get all sorts of things done on Sunday that set you up beautifully for the coming work week. And of course you can do a reset on any other day and create a mindset around it.

I agree my week has to start on a Monday, I do shift work so sometimes I am all over the place, but I am slowly getting my own Sunday reset plan up and running. Not sure if I will use some of your ideas but it has me thinking and that is what I like. My journals are evolving as I go.

This makes me think that I don't need a planner at all; I don't have nearly as much to do as you do!! 🤣 I am a new subbie and really find your process and the book you are working in extremely intriguing. I will. have to research a few more of your videos. Thank you

Simply clever ! As always...thanks for sharing your ideas and planning style ... I enjoy it very much, I like seeing your videos full of colors in washi tapes and stickers, I'm learning so much from your set up and flipthrough. The Sunday reset Is another good idea for me ... And yes! I agree with you... the week has to start on Monday absolutely! No way to break the week end 🤣

100% Monday start person here. Can't imagine a Sunday start week for me. As far as I know, Jews celebrate the last day of the week on Saturday. I think that might be the origin of the Sunday start week. Could be wrong though. Thank you, Annie. The video was, as always, well made and super helpful. I struggle with 0 inbox, but it totally makes sense to end the week that way. I started my own work brain dump trigger list, based on the list you offer as a printable. And I already made one for my personal life. I tend to forget stuff as well. I have 1! plant. But don't ask me when I last watered it. 🤦♀️

It was actually on a dashboard as part of the PlannerPress digital dashbox subscription last year (not sure which month) but I don't think you can purchase these. They are only available through the sub boxes.

@PlanningAnnie2 жыл бұрын
Not long. I can do it in about 30 minutes but sometimes I will spend longer if I am catching up on journaling. Took longer when I first started because I was still figuring out my system and making changes.
