I really like your egg sandwich idea! Just a thought, it may be easier to bake the eggs in the oven after you whisk them. Then you could cut out the portion and not have loose scrambed eggs that will fall out of the sandwich. Thanks as always for your great videos! They are such a great help when I am meal prepping :)

I am retired and am home most mornings for breakfast. I frequently have a breakfast sandwich. I use a Pampered Chef stoneware microwave egg cooker and “fry” my eggs to have firm yolks. I put an egg, either turkey bacon or Canadian bacon (1 sp worth), and half a slice of cheese on each half. I eat it in two halves because psychologically, it seems like more food.
@PlanningUsHealthy4 жыл бұрын
I've heard about those little egg cookers!! And that's actually a great idea with the cheese!! You're right - it's psychological. It's the same way when I get a sub from Subway or Publix. If I don't get cheese, I don't even notice the difference because there's so much of everything else. But there's that psychological thing that tells me I need it. Now I just make myself not order it and if I want cheese, I can just put a one-point slice on it at home. :) But I think I'll use your idea and cut the piece in half!

@PlanningUsHealthy2 жыл бұрын
Hi Judy! You can disregard the colors. That was the old program (so any of my older videos will talk about the colors), but Weight Watchers changed this past November, and we're all on the same program now, with the exception of the diabetic plan, which is slightly different. For similarities, this new plan we're on now is very similar to the blue plan.

This may be a silly question, but do you eat the same thing for breakfast and for lunch for days in a row?
@PlanningUsHealthy2 жыл бұрын
Not a silly question at all. We typically eat the same thing for 3 days. Sometimes we may skip a day and bump it to another day. We are creatures of habit and usually what we eat is so good that we are glad we have it for the next day. 😉 But you can definitely change it up or swap things out.

I usually get those jimmy dean eggwhichs that are $10.58 for 8. Will I come out ahead doing it your way moneywise?
@PlanningUsHealthy3 жыл бұрын
Hey there! It really depends on the prices of things in your area. I have an Aldi so things are cheaper there. If you're more about convenience, that's not a bad deal for those. If you're more about cooking things yourself and knowing everything that's in it, then making your own would be the way to go. Just depends on what works for you. I prep, but then I also sometimes keep some of the frozen jimmy deans in my freezer for when I need something quick. I do have a muffin version on my website -- planningushealthy.com - and I would say that would be cheaper to make yourself. Hope that was somewhat helpful! :)

For the pressure cooker, was that enough liquid to get it to come to pressure? Obviously because it did but did it take longer than normal?
@PlanningUsHealthy4 жыл бұрын
Not that I noticed. Mine usually takes between 10 and 15 minutes to come up to pressure. It's probably because of the salsa - I'm assuming she was considering that as liquid when she created the recipe maybe.
