She will need to be convicted beyond a reasonable doubt. They have enough for an arrest already with the video and short confession but perhaps not enough to say beyond a reasonable doubt. They are being patient and working the case before they hit her with the charge so that it is not thrown out in court or she is found not guilty. Ultimately even after she is first arrested she can bond out and this case resolution is possibly years in the making.

Pathetic! Hit a baby and drive off! She didn't care about the welfare and safety of the child. Poor baby. I'm glad she's alive and that she was able to walk away. Let us remember to keep our children covered in prayer.

The reason she left the scene is absolutely clear. She did stop for a few seconds, but when she saw the girl get up and appear unhurt, she thought it is okay to drive off. This exact same thing happened to me when I was hit by a turning car in front of me, while I was riding my bike. The driver realized I was hit and stopped about 20 feet away. When I stood up, it sped off. It was never caught.

Absolutely EXPECTED behavior on the road in Dallas. People hit and run more often than they hit and stay, unfortunately. Dallas drivers deserve their insurance premiums, #1 in the country for traffic fatility rates. SHAMEFUL
