Wow the full beam is pretty effective, quite a lot of lumens. We are in need of torches quite a lot. The magnetic feature is handy too. Well done Trustfire! The weather has been shocking this year. We are trying to put some hiking videos together but the sky is so gloomy at the moment. 3.5 hours to the closest part of the lakes for us Penrith. You can add another hour and a half to get to some of the places. Wish someone would build a motorway from Scarborough to Grasmere! Exciting year ahead! 👍 hope your having a lovely hol.

Hi Alan They seem to have thought of everything with this torch and great even just to have around the house. So many things I'd never even thought of like magnetic and not round !! I thought every torch was round lol. Ohhh the weather. We've missed those cold, bright, dry days this winter when some of the best views can be had, but no worries, I'm sure that means we are in for a great summer !!!!!! Sounds like you have lots planned so are going to be very busy having lots of fun. I'll be watching your progress and if I'm around, hope to join you in September, or any other time that suits. Nice torch / flashlight! Great size and great that it is magnetic. The yellow one sounds fun! I hope your weather gets better soon and you can get back out hiking…you’ve got quite a list ahead of you! I try to camp like you mentioned… driving 3-4 hours, hiking and driving back makes for a very long day… if I can swing it I like to camp for a night or two and get in 2-3 hikes for one driving trip. It has to be the longest, wettest and most miserable start to the year that I can remember, so that sun really needs to get here fast and start to warm things up. Really happy with it Andy and never thought I would get anything better than my Olight but this one beats it hands down. Mrs Metalman will also be doing the last Wainwright, she has asthma, COPD and will be 71 by then, I am sure you will do it as well no problem and I deliberately left this one to the last as it looks a real gentle assent, with great views and (hopefully) great weather too. It is going to be a very slow and gentle pace with plenty of stops for resting, chatting and viewing :o). Appricate you stopping by marra, cheers Alan

I am sorry that the weather has been so bad up there lately. It must be very frustrating when you want a hike! Yeah, that tiny flashlight has a lot of power to it! Hi Alan shame you couldn't get out because of the weather, its been the same here in North Wales too. The flashlight did look really good, especially on the 4th press you could see the garden well at night and I think it's great that you only do reviews of things that you believe in. This would have been great when you worked as a caretaker and definitely good for camping. Didn't realise you have 45 Wainwright's yet to climb, your final one sounds fun if you get a lot of people joining you 🙂 you really do need nice weather ! Funny enough, we got got back today from a 5 day holiday where we were stopping it a cabin, in the woods, so the flashlight was used every night we were out and it really was great, so I am very happy with it. I am really looking forward to the rest of the year but all my outdoor plans are all weather depending, as I am a fair weather hiker and camper, so my fingers will be crossed for some good weather. Hi Alan, the trustfire looks like a nice piece of kit. It doesn't overheat over 100m range sounds great and for over 2 hours. Looks nice and compact for the backpack as a back up for my head torch floodlights 😂 The weather of late has been real bad. Always good to have plans. Looked a very good torch, Alan. I checked the price as I thought it would be about £50 or so, but seems very versatile and very strong. Love your plans for the rest of the year but I'm thinking you've still quite a few wainwrights to hit before September - you need sunshine quick! - don't be stressing about hitting your target by september, great if you do, but just enjoy your walks and camping, we can always help a bit too when we're there in Sept. I'm hoping in 2 weeks to get back to the Mournes with James but I have to get the garden in shape before then! The weather looks promising here from tuesday! Regards, Ashley
