This cabinet is perfect. And so much prettier than a greenhouse. Thanks for the video.

My melano has also taken forever to root. Moss was the best method for mine and I kept it covered. Hopefully yours is thriving now!

I think these cabinets are genius for plants. I need to check if this winds up being cheaper than the terrariums since there are different levels on this. You can fit quite a good amount of plants in there👍👍👍. Thanks for sharing and stay blessed🤗👍❤.

Melanochrysums root great in moss in my experience. I've done two cuttings with little to no aerial roots and it gave me an amazing root system and a new leaf each in just about 5-6 weeks. I had them in a humidity box out of plastic storage bin with the base/floor also filled with moist moss and a jar of water inside. The box gets lots of bright, indirect light outdoors

your blouse is gorgeous, love the sleeves....I was looking for a piece of furniture (like a curio cabinet) to turn into a greenhouse. I ordered a Begonia Luxurians after watching your video. Unfortunately the post office changed the shipping day and it arrived crispy. So I have a stem with no leaves, the online nursery were polite with no help. So fingers crossed It comes back.

OMG! I bought 2 Melanochrysum cuttings in early April this year, one of them started growing roots in July and the other one only started growing roots this month! They are so slow, don't worry, it'll happen eventually haha

With your Melano, maybe put cling film / plastic wrap over the top of the container so only the leaf sticks out. My Melano was taking a while to acclimatise and I've done this with few other philos and it works well in helping them to root in moss.

Perhaps a reflective surface on the top ceiling would help bounce around light on the upper shelf.

Hello, Jolene! I am new to your channel and have subscribed. Love this video- you have amazing plants! What could be be also helpful - if you put in the description the name of the plants you are showing with a time line- I have seen it done in some videos- it is very educating and so helpful! Thank you..💚🍃💚

I have thought about using this cabinet the same way. I would like to know how well it retains humidity. I know their little greenhouse (Socker) does not retain humidity.

I’ve been thinking about doing something like this so I can have more plants in my apartment and not worry about my cat getting into them when I’m not home.
@evelyndaisy97224 жыл бұрын
I was going to ask if I can put any plant in there because I want to do the same thing. My cat knocks my plants down and I nee something like this.
@malaykav4 жыл бұрын
Evelyn Pacheco id imagine so if they all like the same environment and lighting. You have to be so strategic about plants when you have cats. They can be soo sneaky. Lol
@hecate09164 жыл бұрын
I got the cat problem, too. Try to hang my plants or use tall plant stands. Glass cabinet may be my next solution.

Weiwei Tang yes always searching for new ways to hang plants away from the kitty. Can be rough in a rental.

How silly, they didn't put a glass top to let light in. I suppose you can adapt it perhaps, and replace the top with glass? Great idea for an indoor greenhouse!

To add a little more humility, you could set a dish or bowls of water in the cabinet. The heat from the sun coming through the window or even nearby lights will increase the evaporation and raise the humidity in there. Good luck!
@kyrad65434 жыл бұрын
In my little cloches or take-out containers, I will often put a shot glass full of water in the corner to up the humidity. I'm sure some bowls of water would be good in this too!

here's an idea for the grow light thingy: there are those led strips which you attach to the bottom of cabinets, wouldn't those work on the top of the greenhouse, like on the inside?!

I'm surprised that the rooftop is not made of glass while the shelves are, so the top shelf receives less light than the rest.

What I dont understand is Why need indoor greenhouse when those plants already inside/ indoor greenhouse (your house) in the first place , your room already an indoor greenhouse by default , so indoor within indoor greenhouse ? 😂
@beckyh18724 жыл бұрын
Increases humidity. Indoors can be very dry with air conditioning and or heat.
