Plant Diversity Tour - Silk Floss Tree & Baobab Tree

As the southernmost research & education center in the continental United States, UF/IFAS Tropical Research & Education Center (TREC) is home to a large diversity of plants. From environmental factors (like trade winds) to human activities (like cultural values), there are any number of reasons why south Florida, and TREC, have an array of plant diversity. In this segment, Dr. Cliff Martin, a curator in Dr. Zachary Brym’s Agroecology lab, provides details on a couple of unique trees at the fourth and fifth stops of the developing Plant Diversity tour.
