Acknowledge them for them to exist? So if I believe hard enough, a rock will now have consciousness?
@jennadaigle75084 жыл бұрын
I don't think Monica meant their consciousness doesn't exist unless we humans acknowledge it. That would be anthropocentric thinking. (So easy for us to slip into.) Their consciousness exists, but unless we acknowledge it, it won't exist in our perception (and so won't be a part of our shared cultural experience). Some of the ideas she expressed concerning self and other were complex, but I think this is closer to what she meant.

Watching this again after a year, I love Michael but oh, I profoundly admire Monica. We observe ourselves through the observed, and the object observed becomes the self, that’s why when we communicate with plants (or really with Spirit through its infinite manifestations of cosmic wisdom) we need to stay outside the Ego-Self, and this can be through ceremonies but also through dreaming and lucid dreaming (astral projecting) too. I have deep hope in a world when 3D mainstream science will trasmute to spirit science. Looking forward to the event this year! Thank you!

I agree wholeheartedly! Setting aside the Ego-self, which is the need to control outcomes, is a game changer. Being open to receive has been a beautiful evolution of my backyard gardening experience. I enter a magical and sacred space in my garden. Often when I speak to the plants, they nod slightly, even when there is no breeze. I “hear” my sunflowers singing to the sun. The large cottonwood informed me that it embraces the entire property and protects us with its roots. ❤❤❤❤❤ I know this may sound a little crazy outside this beautiful community, but once I experienced it, it impacted my entire life in an uplifting and profoundly positive way 💕💕💕✨✨✨. Much love to all 😘😘

Let's see if we can take this up another level. Shortly before I came to this world I was talking with a plant on my home world. She told me that when I came to Earth I would eat plants just like her. I was completely mortified and protested , exclaiming that I wouldn't, and she reassured me that I would, that there I would have too in order to survive. To me (at the time) the idea of eating something as aware as a plant was inconceivable. We are aware of your struggle, and every possible means of help is waiting for you, but you have to be open to receive this help, and unless you're lucky enough to encounter an enlightened being in the flesh, the help only comes from within. It is the silent guiding voice from your heart. You are experiencing separation and from here the path back is through the heart. Do what you know to be right, even if it doesn't make sense, even if it seems reckless, even if it (inadvertently) causes pain for others. Get to know and understand the light within you. Be truly humble and ye will be truly mighty. There are many laws that govern reality, the most important one is the Law of divine will. One may not impose one's will over another, the only exception being to stop the imposition of one's will over another. We are entering the time when the darkness becomes the most powerful, this is also the time when the light rises to overcome it. The darkness resides within us all it, is the nature of being in this part of reality, You have a choice, to stay in darkness or move towards the light. Know your actions be one with the light if your heart be in it.

Brilliant describing life before Earth life. The Spiritual dimension knows life energies there have no need for food. A human body is physical, needs to eat, gains nutrients from water, plants, animals, oils, carbs, proteins, vitamins, minerals, herbs, etc. Communication need language which can take 2 or more Earth years. The Spirit Realm talks thru telepathy.... Instant thoughts exchanged. Spirit is light, earth energy is dense., heavy. A spirit incarnating for the first time adjusts to new physical trappings. All is learned. A body is two fold. Chakras 1 thru 3 are the physical connect to the Earth. Chakras 4 thru 7 activate higher spiritual levels. Our Heart is a major soul center where kindness and compassion flow out to others in recognition of the Divine life of another human. Namaste. We are all connected thru the Greater Intelligence we know as God. Healing is Rose Pink, the color of Universal Love. Discovered in a book on color therapy by Linda Clark years ago. Love seeks the good for family, friends, and others, is not vain or puffed up, but rejoices in the truth. Blocked Energy causes illness, loss of energy, motivation, soul sickness. Seek support for repairs, treatment, release. Reclaim full living in alignment. Chakra energy wheels spin clockwise. Sometimes they can be visibly seen. Our human body is made for inner strength, moving to upper levels of spiritual growth. Wisdom, discipline, discernment are wonderful gifts, given as we seek to gain understanding. Takes personal effort. Well worth the trip. Monica is a plant whisperer. Her explanations are stunning. Goodness flows out from her heart and soul to us listening. What a treat, a treasure we are blessed with. Books to read. Sources to follow up. Replies to share. Satisfying to the truth seeker. Wow. What a great program! Kudos to all!

monica's "as brief as a lightning" experience of "opening door of oneself" at 49.00.00 is what Buddhist describes as " emptiness" , " enlightenment" , " awakening", " ego-lessness" ( complete dissolution of ego), "non duality", "nibbana" , "blowing out", "self transcendence", this all equate to "seeing the things/reality as they are" ( without filters/ conditioning) and as Michael also mentions that meditation helps to sustain such experience is in alignment with Buddhist's approach to "awakening". The correct meditation is gradual approaching to that " experience" through different techniques of stilling the mind, developing concentration, analysis of the phenomenas and ultimately ego-lessness. And since it is graduated path to experience, the state of being in that experience ( but in real sense, there is neither experience nor non experience) is not brief but more than just brief depending on one's spiritual progress.

I'm feeling it.

I had a really strong connection with the tree (and nature?) but I had no idea where the pain was from that I was feeling (it was about environmental destruction and how we humans treated trees and nature). I literally was crying while I was laying right under the tree and I felt so sorry and guilty for what we humans do. This sentence gave me completely new perspective on this situation: Maybe I wasn't feeling the trees pain, maybe the tree wasn't feeling my pain, maybe it was the self feeling the pain of itself. ...but I'm not sure yet cause I have to process this

There Is No Seperate Cosciousness What Is Residing Here Is Also Residing There ( In Plants And Animals ) Common Sense Prevails ! Thanks For SHARING
@Uri1000x13 жыл бұрын
A consciousness takes in needed sensory information and acts on it. Computation based on the information determines the action. A plant computes when it turns toward the sun. Monica agrees, the information enables choosing actions a plant takes. So the plant system makes decisions with intention based on information. A system receiving information means uncertainty is resolved, a plant needing to learn the sun direction is means it has intention to propagate and increase survival chance. A consciousness can receive information in many ways but not strictly by a plant's intention to give it to you.

Basic Hinduism says that we are souls that live in bodies - not just human but animal or plant Most people find human life too tough - having to work, make a living, face the world and all its problems - they want an easier life - the life that most prostitutes/gigolos/leeches/freeloaders live, shamelessly sponging off their rich Sugar Daddies Religions take advantage and are happy to promise them such a life in Heaven What they don't realize is that since they don't have a taste for human life they will be reborn as animals like Dogs or Plants A dog's life is much easier - someone takes care of them, fed, protected, sheltered and cared for Life as a Tree is also easy - nothing to do all day, just sit or go to sleep, food falls from the sky - zero work, zero worries - Heaven!

What is consciousness, intelligence? Why do we ask, why do we have panels about this, why do we care? Because we are human and that’s what we do, is that intelligence? This is the huge difference that sets us off from all other living things. Our drive to ask the question “why” , our drive to find purpose for our very existence as if there is or ever was one except to ask why.

Excellent Dr Monica. I think one of the reasons that people in general are dismissive of plant and even animal sentience, is so that they can keep abusing them with impunity. If it's a dumb, lifeless nothing, then it doesn't matter if I torture it, does it? For example, a few years ago, the Conservative govt in the UK tried to pass a bill to strip all animals of their sentience. It was clear that it was so that the meat industry could keep torturing, ad nauseum.

In Buddhist text, where-where there is a subject of emptiness is there is interdependence is talked for possibilities.

The distinction of self-awareness (named consciousness) is limiting and becomes a wall of separation from Oneness. Minute 13 Monica nails it: "What is residing here is residing there." Another word is Oneness, thus Universal Consciousness, and might be called God, Alla, YHVH, etc with regards to religion. To individualize consciousness as being a marker for 'better than _____,' is alienating and of lower frequency. In contrast, some consider plants and animals as more connected to Source than we humans are, so... we might want to pay better attention to Nature. They have much to teach us.

My humble suggestion is pay attention to the Science and Non Duality group and website, SAND. In fact, Bioneers can take the challenge and open up the floor for the Consciousness issue. In light of all the Non Duality sages and practitioners that have spoken about their living experiences and what Non Duality is about. Our dear Nina Simons and Kenny Ausubel, Bioneers arquitects, can take the challenge and responsibility on this fundamental issue. It is necessary to balance the equation. "she was an over-giver" ( the last lady speaking to Monica about the Eucalyptus. ) That was like reading a storybook, with pictures. The kisses, greening. a picturebook in the best sense, is a door, that opens.

Even though, they have good information it is interesting how cautions they are talking about everything and the "scientists colleagues" don't like what they are saying...this is what happens with many scientists when they depend on someone or some corporation to finance their research...They need to be in a box...

Seeing Entities: I've seen Dryads ( tree spirits) and Nyads ( Water spirits). They are real...but can only be perceived while in a right brain state. I meditate outdoors, and occassionally plug into the tight wavelength where I can see them and talk with them. I did this decades ago...before it became popularized.

If something is "real" why can you only talk to it "in the right brain state"? In fact having to be in the right brain state to perceive something seems almost like a definition of what is not "real". You talk to yourself all the time and from your perspective what you are saying is actually new. There's an inner narrator and then there is listening/awareness itself.

The plant medicines teach us that consciousness is a dimension, not a property. Michael Pollan seems kind of lightweight compared to the way Monica Gag;kano communicates. Evolution is not purposeful? Michael Pollan, evolution is stochastic, i.e randomly purposeful - it works with, builds upon and reuses effective systems and designs.
@jennadaigle75084 жыл бұрын
Monica seems to have much more depth of knowledge on the subject. Also, while Monica is continually trying to rid herself of anthropocentrism, Michael seems comfortable with a certain amount of it.
@lebron951004 жыл бұрын
I would say that is why Pollan is considered by many to be a bridge of two worlds. The completely ignorant who have always been told the same fables about plants & fungi need a Pollan in order to be able to fathom even fragments of what Monica truly reveals about the world around us.

How can science try to “define” conciousness without being able to explain WHAT IT IS? They measure, analiza and explore something that is practically the fabric of the universe that exists on EVERYTHING material tools, measuring the immeasurable, knowing the unknowable, explaining with our tiny intelligences the unexplainable. Humankind and all that we know (and what we don’t know), are a manifestation an expression of that universal conciousness that can only be known by becoming “aware of it in us”

one does not need to redefine someone elses idea of consciousness, one only needs to find a way to describe the consciousness they believe they are experiencing.

Go beyond the physical reality to that which is Aware of it. Science explores and explains the physical it cannot explore or explain Consciousness by using the same Consciousness to do so but there is a way.

Thank god my world view was formed while under the guidence of the sacred plants intellignce! Not the socially accepted theories that don't require insight to form as we are indoctronated thus from the moment we are born. Also thankful I opened the door myself with the help of my plant teachers : PS I'm hoping the comment on "Meglamaniacal people turned that way by psychedelics who were authors of many books decades ago" wasn't aimed at Timothy Leary, Dick Alpert (Ram Dass) or Ralph Metzner &/ or Terrance & Dennis Mckenna???

Of course plants have emotions and intelligence and they do communicate with us. The ones you need medicinally arrive in your garden by themselves. Plants have always been my friends, especially wildflowers & trees of the British Isles. They are more like us than we'd imagine.. Dont we have the same number of chromosomes as a potato?
