In regards to the diagram at 3:00, assuming the container is not providing meaningful insulation, wouldn't B cool the fluid faster due to its greater total surface area? Actually, now that I think about it, wouldn't container A's tall rim serve as a giant heat fin, cooling the fluid? I'm probably overthinking it, but fluid-to-air heat losses just don't seem to properly estimate actual thermal exchange here...

Generally, "Evaporative Heat Loss" provides the greatest amount of cooling. So the "fluid-to-air" surface area would be directly proportional to the speed of cooling.

On 1:55 why would the answer be A? The way I’m looking at it let’s say A is a 2 inch pipe and B a 1 inch pipe if im pumping the same psi through them my flow rate would definitely be faster in A because I’m pumping more volume through the 2 inch than a 1inch. Idk I’m looking at it from a volume stand point really. The only change is psi not volume. Once it hits B it’s going to tech slow down because of restriction to a 1 inch pipe.

i think it is because like you said, the volume is unchanged, so if you are forcing the same amount of volume to go through a smaller pipe as you have going through a bigger pipe, the smaller pipe will have to have a higher speed to be able to keep that same volume

I’ve taken a few of these type tests and I can tell you these questions are probably more of the easier ones, but they definitely get you going in the right direction.
